Overcoming Foreclosure with Faith

Overcoming Foreclosure with Faith
You’ve probably heard that it’s not a matter of whether you’ll face a crisis in your life but when. None of us are guaranteed a smooth road. What you do when a crisis happens will force you to choose fear or faith.
Your Foreclosure might be the most difficult experience you’ve ever had. Losing your home is personal. It’s humiliating. It’s life-changing. No one intentionally sets themselves up to fail with their mortgage.
As Christians we should be not be defined by our crisis, but by our confidence in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Peter was in a crisis out on the Sea of Galilee. He had obeyed Christ and got in the boat. He didn’t count on a storm.
But, just like Peter you have to step out in faith. Take the hand of the One who knows your future. Don’t focus on the storm and waves but put your trust in the Lord. As a Christian, we’re asked to focus on the right priorities.
If you focus on fear instead of faith, you will become immobilized. Your fear will cloud any hope and disguise any possible solutions. Your fear will rob you of your present day joy. Fear will cause you to withdraw from those who can help you.
Take the hand of the One who calmed the sea.
