Until this latest payment plan, we have been treated very well by WAMU. The insistence of adding the late fees to the payment plan and the short length of time they were willing to give me made it not work. Messages left at the house while we are working are difficult to return, as it's impossible to get the same person who placed the call. I've never talked to the same person twice, and that becomes very upsetting to rehash how we got behind all over again with every person. Don't they log this stuff in their system?

Washington Mutual didn't incur this debt we did, but we didn't have the knowhow to handle this situation at the beginning and now when we need them to fix things like misapplying payments it takes forever. We need a second chance and they are not helping.

Had a buyer for our house on a short sale basis. The buyer even offered us more than what we were asking. After 2 months of being put off and WAMU not making a decision, we lost the buyer.

Been trying to workmwith WAMU have kept them updated every step of the way, have been pushed off in a conner or told case is not open yet. HELP!! I have even tried to give them most of the payment and thet refuse it, now how dumb is that. If a person is making an attempt and has all the moines but 200.00 of the loan payment won/t it be good business to apply and wrk with that person. With WAMU i guess not.

Every time I call WAMU I get the run around and put on hold for a very long time - went thru loss mitigation and after waiting 2 mos to get an answer regarding results from loss mitigation I was told I didn't have enough income to qualify for any of their programs to save my home. In addition I receive my paperwork I sent them back in the mail and I was given another reason other than the reason that was given to me by the Loss Mitigation couselor which stated in their letter that I did not provide all the infomation requested and there was also another homeowner information sent to me in the same package that didn't even belong to me.

WAMU has not been fair too many.God is NO RESPECTER of person. This is HIS company and you(whomever you are) will be held accountable for whatever actions taken which are displeases or dishonors HIM.Note: "which is done to the lesser of me..." I pray & claim victory over wamu rt now in the name of JESUS that all my issues be resolved.I claim & receive the promises of Abraham; the favor, grace, mercy, blessing, and seek rt now forgiveness.I ask God & receive my home back, to allow me to remain steward over HIS house. I pray that all who read this comment stand on God's promises and believe that HIS Word is the workout plan. God created wamu and everybody associated with it.GOD is still in charge. If you're born again, you have the power of authority thru the Holy Spirit. Don't trust wamu, trust GOD. He'll never leave you nor forsake you. Hold God to His Promises, allow HIM into your negotiations and watch HIM touch hearts and changes minds for HIS glory. Too many departments. Nobody can look at all three of my accounts so I have to talk to several different people. I am now working with one woman in the Loss Mitigation Department, but it is hard to get in touch with her. Also, their calls do not let you know that WAMU is calling. They usually show "unknown number/unknown name", and I don't answer the phonecalls that come in blind. I don't have anyway to save money for car repairs, home repairs, etc., so I can't pay everything on time. Until a few years ago I had a great credit rating. No more.

I like working with WaMu because I could always talk to someone and get answers until my husband filed for bankruptcy and stopped making support payments. WaMu always seemed to want to work things through but after my husband defaulted, no one will return my phone calls or attempt to work with me. I wish it were different which is why I am seeking help.

they just keep telling you to pay your mortgage and that they will help -- I did everything I could, they asked if family can lend me money, so I did it -- I am now over $20k in debt with friends and family and trying to pay them back -- dam, its been over a year and no help -- now I am facing foreclosure -- I was an idiot to believe they would help me

Just got forclosed on by wamu. Don't trust anything they tell you. We were only a few months behind due to our other house not selling. We went to loss mitigation with them before there was going to be a problem back in November. They told us to stop paying until they reworked the loan. We sent our paperwork back to them then. In december we had not heard anything for a while so we called and they said they had all the paper work and that it would be completed shortly. Yeah right.. well in march we were declined due too no documentation. Which we sent back in november. Shortly after a notice to forclose showed up. Se we talked with them about getting the info in again. After loosing it 3 more times we were up against the time limit of the forclosure. they told us they could push the foreclosure off and not to worry... yeah right... well we called and called and kept getting transfered around all the way up to the foreclosure day. finaly 1 hr before the foreclosure we got a lady that said we had been declined to work with again due to insufficient income.. Well then how did i get the loan in the first place.... whatever.. we asked what we needed to do to stop it they said pay in full plus legal fees... Nice.. We had just over 15,000 and needed 19,000. Nope no deal they said... Now go figure foreclose over 4000 and loose over 200,000 in a declineing market.. Makes perfect business sense to them I guess. I guess they are In the buisness to loose money... And PS if you get a guy named Stanley. He has no clue and lied to our attorney about us not working with him througout the process. Again terrible company would not recommend at all.......

We started with a repayment program thru WAMU. We completed the repayment program without missing a payment. The payments were not posted properly, and now they are saying we owe for December of 2007. They have made up a statements saying that we missed the payment in September and that voided the program. They said that late charges accrued throughout the repayment plan and we were told they would not. We have documentation of all payments made and when they were posted. According to our documents, we are only 2 months behind. We live in Wyoming and this residence is in Nebraska. I cannot understand where they are getting their information from, nothing makes sense.

Do NOT accept any loan from WAMU. I guarantee you will regret it the rest of your life! They deserve a zero rating - but that number isn't on the rating charts. Their customer sevice is a bunch of nasty vultures. They will puposely ruin your credt, then make it out to be YOUR fault. We have been dealing with them 8 months, and have NOTHING from them positive, although our credit was 734 before their priracy began. Can't say anything good about them, and there is not enough room to tell the bad, the horror stories, the stupidity or haziness of their customer service department. Those supposedly in charge are NO BETTER!!!!

I feel that when your income size is reduced mortgage companies should at least give you an option to decrease without going through a lot of red tape by refinancing and credit reports.Everyone credit is not good but they may still be financially capable with an increase of their loan.

This bank is about the worst I have ever had to deal with - they put me as delinquent in payment of my mortgage - this was their mistake and I had to write to the chief officers in Seattle to have this changed and off my record. I have NEVER been late in payment of my mortgage. I went into the bank today to speak to someone about my mortgage, ie. refinance, short sale, whatever - Waited a half hour to be told they can't help me and gave me the number of an individual who would handle this. I called this individual and I would LOVE to give his name, but I won't - I called 3 times and left 3 different messages all day today - he NEVER returned my call. When I call the bank for information, I am transferred to 5 different people who tell me five different things - I cannot wait to get away from this bank

They have been extremely patient. I am now four months overdue, and they still haven't officially foreclosed. I am very afraid that it will come any second now, though. ADVICE: If you fall behind, contact Loss Mitigation AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Do not put it off! It takes a long time for them to respond. Also, if your financial situation looks too bad to them, they might say they can't help you and go ahead and foreclose.

I was put in a credit bureau which has ruined by credit because I did not (according to them) put enough money into escrow. When I started to put money for escrow, they said it wasn't enough (LIES!!!!) This entry into the credit bureau will remain for 7 YEARS - COUNT 'EM 7 years for $200.00 which I have already paid, however, the credit report states that I am late in the amount of $1,804 - I am a 70 year old sick woman and my credit is now absolutely in the trash - I cannot even get a new credit card because of them. Could someone please please help me?

by Myrna Stern From West Palm Beach, FL on October 12, 2007
I was told by WaMu that I needed more funds in escrow account. I agreed - this was in June of 2007 - When I received info, I had already made my mortgage payment to WaMu for June Instead of paying my usual mortgage amount, I had the option (according to) of paying an additional $280 per month which I did in July for July payment - When I received August statement, I was told I owed $1,900 - I thought they made a mistake and instead of calling and speaking to 5 people (as in the past) I sent them what I thought the correct amount should be = my mortgage plus $380 - I then received a letter stating that I am still in arrears (help) - so, after speaking for over an hour to 3 or 4 departments to ask what do I have to do to clear this up - I certainly don't want my name in a credit report - I was told to pay the sum of $2,011 so that I would not be placed in a credit agency. Lo and behold!! There I am in a credit agency stating that I did not pay the sum of $1,804 - I am so mad I could scream. This, according to them will be on my record report for the next 7 years. What they have done is absolutely and totally ruined my credit. My husband and my credits were always close to 700 Now I can't refinance my home, I can't sell my home and I can't even get a credit card. Can someone help me? I am a 70 year old woman who has survived lung cancer. I really need help from someone. Myrna Stern

My mom, My sister and I are all on the deed to my moms house. My sister took out a loan, and did not tell us she quit paying. I tried for a year between phone calls and letters to contact Washington Mutual Bank, they would not speak with me. My sister did not pay for ever a year and not there are so many fines on the house, I cannot refinance. My mother is loosing her house. This could all have been avoided if I knew my sister wasn't paying

Washington Mutual has been the worst bank to work with in this matter. Their customer service representatives are horrible and have absolutely NO compassion dealing with people in the process of loosing their homes. Working with Washington Mutual has been a complete nightmare and disappointment. I expect way more out of a mortgage company.
