i have not had a problem with the mortage co in question

by Derrick Brown From Memphis, TN on March 18, 2009
You can never talk with them and when they do they have someone talking through someone else. I ask the person on the phone and they put me on hold to ask someone else this continues until they either hang up or never return to the line. They give a foreclosure and still continues to send me letters from their recovery department, they even took from my income tax.

Worst company ever. Tried to get principal reduced since my primary agreed to reduce on their end if regions would reduce theirs and they said NO. Now they stand to lose the whole loan since they stand in second on the home and the first will be paid first. Dumb decision on their end. No wonder everyone is facing foreclosure. NONE of these banks wants to help. Good luck to them selling all the homes!!. I was also told that since I am in good standing that they couldnt help me until I am late. WOW does this make sense?? These banks want you to be late and screw up your credit before they will help. What values are we teaching the future generations?? Pay your bills late and you will get a better mortgage deal than being on time. What a screwed up society:( Really sad:(

I did not understand why Regions sold my home mortgage to Everhome. I thought that was for folks that did not pay their mortgage payments on time or that presented a threat to them getting paid. I have never paid my mortgage late, and I know that I dont present a risk. I was very dissappointed with Regions Mortage. I really thought that they were a reparable compnay when I decided to go with them. Was I ever wrong.

I submitted pay stubs, bank info, and a hardship letter 3 months ago.My lender didn't respond, they sent letters asking for the same information over and over.I have been banking with them for over 18 years.

I am trying to refinance.Gave them everything they wanted, payed 350.00 for appraisal, we set closing date with an attorney. They Called and left a message 5 hrs. before closing stating that the loan did not go through. I have banked with them for 13 yrs, bought 2 cars, paid off one morgage and paid extra on principle of current mortgage, NEVER was late with payments-(auto. payment from checking).Own 50% of house. This is an adjustable morgage. Thank goodness I started a year in advance!! Will never recommend them and will leave as soon as I can! I get the feeling they would love for my morgage to re-adjust in a year with a higher %. It is now at 5.00%.

they are foreclosing due to a credit line loan we have that they are demanding payment on. I have tried to get financing for my business, but they have kept me from getting it due to not relinquishing any hold on our collateral. I could have had a loan in Sept.2007 and Feb.2008 but Regions refused to work with me. Now they are foreclosing on our building in an effort to get their money. I have lost a generous amount of business due to this and I have turned this matter over to the Superintendent of the State Banking Department in Alabama. They are now investigating Regions. I don't know if this will help or hurt my case, but they have pushed me into a corner I can't get out. This started in August of 2007 a month after they merged with Amsouth. Also,my Father has Liver Cancer, he was in the hospital for 5 mths, last yr. and as of Oct.1,2008 has been placed on Hospice Care. The mental stress Regions has caused me and my family is unexplainable. We shouldn't be in this situation right now. My heart goes out to anyone who is suffering like this.

They show lack of concern. Cannot get in touch with them.

by Anonymous From Lowgap, NC on September 25, 2008
They don't want to work with you no matter how long you have had a loan with them. They could knock some of the loan payment off that I owe them since they don't want to work with anybody. I am by the way in bankrupt mostly because of them. I think they should be investigated.

My son, active military died 2006 in a car accident and I wanted to pay the monthly payments for his home in Georgia, but Regions Mortgage Bank in Birmingham, AL refused to talk to me,or the casualty officer´s.I tried to prevent late payments.I only knew the loan number, but no mercy for a hurt Mother in Gerrmany. Foreclosure was stopped by consulting my attorney which also previously turned in the probate request for me at Columbus, GA.I had faxed documentation, numerous calls, but received no help, "customer -service" was not provided, instead they hung-up the phone on me. I am a german national and I work for a military bank in germany. Our military customers do get good constant service from us, no matter where they are, we find a way to help! ( I did not expect to get information, but I expected understanding this situation and not to do a foreclosure, while the probate is in pending status)

Regions has the aldasity to call after making next month payment and insult my intelligence by saying I should have gotten my new payment book in mail back in August. Bottom line is nobody knew about it obviously.

by Anonymous From Atlanta, GA on August 16, 2008
I was behind on my mortgage and tried to work something out with them and all they did was give me extremely poor customer service. The loss mitigtion person who was handling my case was extremely unprofessional. I called her many, many times and she was very slow to return my phone calls. During this entire process I only talked with her twice. She finally returned my phone call the day before I was to be foreclosed on and gave me a rediculously high dollar amount that I needed to come up with. This company has the worst customer service ever.

I used to like Regions...until they underhandedly sold my mortgage to Everhome. They claimed to have sent "A letter" 2 weeks before they sold the mortgage...never got said letter (and they became rude when I suggested that such information should be sent by CERTIFIED mail). When I finally got in contact with everhome, they said that coupon books and payment information "were ordered" on 8-11-08 and sent to me on 8-13-08...which sure doesn't help when the payment was due on 8-1! Regions claimed that it was not their fault and that it was just "too bad" that I couldn't make prior arrangements for that payment. They offered to take a refi application (yeah, right...only to turn me down or accept me and sell me off to another crappy subprime company again!)

Have called them but they will only give us minimum options when they are more, and they lack on customer service or helping you out on your mortgage.

I have tried to contact Regions many times but they would not talk to me. Refuse to talk to me until I had missed 3 payments.

by Anonymous From Damascus, AR on June 11, 2008
When we called to work out an arrangement with them, the only thing that they would do was to give us 6 weeks to pay up our delinquency to avoid foreclosure! I have worked as a customer care representative for a mortgage company in the past, and I know that there were other options that were not mentioned to my husband.

Mortgage was sold to Regions some payments never credited!

by Mattie Davidson From Irving, TX on May 08, 2008
I wish I had never heard of Regions Bank. I took a loan with Regions in 06, each month I write them two cks, one for the normal payment and then on for principal only. They have never applied the principal only payment towards principal. I am about ready to scream as they are posting the extra towards future payments. I staple a note to the principal payment with big letters. It would seem to me that they make this standard procedure and of course, takes much longer to pay off your loan...I know what they are doing is unethical and maybe illegal.

by Lance Lepoint From Gastonia, NC on April 28, 2008
they are being patient so far at 110 days past due on the mortgage but they took money out of my checking for my equity line that I had not authorized when I deposited money to cover a car payment and declined my car payment. Then they charged me for a insufficient funds AND returned check totalling 70.00. I called on it and they said not their fault. I told them i would NOT ever use their accounts again and their response was OK.

REFUSE TO WORK WITH ME

by amber walker From Kingsland, GA on April 15, 2008
this company is the worst! they claim you are 90 days or more late and force you to make a repaymentplan then you leran you were only 30 or 60 days late and then you are stuck paying this. i have faught with this company about not reporting properly to the credit beuru;s and then file diputes and they still lie about it.so you look like an idiot whenyou file the dispute. when you try to refinance with a better company you can't because they have sucked you in!!!! when i can i WILL REFINANCE WITH A BETTER COMPANY!!

THE MORTGAGE INSURANCE IS TOO HIGH. IT IS HALF OF THE AMOUNT OF MY MORTGAGE. THIS IS WHAT MAKES IT SO HARD TO MAKE MY PAYMENTS
