Stay far away from M&T Bank and entire Company. They are liars and thieves and no govt agency that is supposed to be over them will help you. They apparently have a lot of influence from their very lucrative business ripping people off! You are warned. Stay far away.Somebody needs to do something about this company! Do search and see the complaints against. Also see current lawsuit against them with charges of unethical and illegal actions committed with HUD. They will also never try to make right when they have wronged you. Soon all will know about this company and those who protect them.

Had a penalty of 5% for prepayment and was charged over 7% or they would not release mortgage. couldn't get any answers from anyone and had to do everything in writing. They did not want to give an explanation for the 2 extra percent or 3,000 dollars. Had to pay or would loose more paying 2 mortgages at once.

I have A loan with M&T Bank...I was going to college and got behind on bills. I just got a new job 4 days ago that pays well and is steady, now we just need a way to catch up on our bills and not lose our house.
