Were in loss mitigation for months. Kept telling us to call back in a week if we could get a hold of them at all. Now we find out our loan was sold. What a bunch of sharks.

Fremont was amazing. They've helped me on numerous occasions. My load modification was done in a timely manner and the customer service reps were always very helpful. I'm going to miss doing business with them. I've read horror stories about the new company that bought my loan - Litton!

So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19 Please help us...

Fremont Investment and loan was amazing. They helped modify our loan in a timely fashion. And their staff were eager to help and gracious. The staff was incredible and I couldn't thank my agent enough. I am very grateful for the service I received from Fremont!

They knew we were doing a short sale and than sold our loan to a new company. We haven't even received loan information from this new company. They stink!

starstarno starno starno star by Anonymous From Lawndale, CA on May 16, 2008

Very Scary !!!!!!! The previous stories have an all to familiar ring to them - almost verbatum call , stall, resend papers, 6-8 weeks to modify loan and what do you know my loan has been sold. I have 2 weeks. According to the loss mitigation dept (they are always nice on phone) reps the new company will pick up my paperwork where Fremont left off - my loan is upside down - my credit is ruined (due to loss of income) so refi is out. I am a stressed out wreck. I wonder if anyone has had success on a loan modification?

I have submitted the information that Fremont needs to the loan modification program. They will not return my calls. My mortgage payment has increased due to my having an ARM rate.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! We fell on hard times like most people are now and we called fremont about a loan modification. They were great at first and told us what we needed to submit to them, but when it came time to adjust our loan they were SO rude and nasty. They didn't get our paperwork to us on time and said it was our fault and are now trying to terminate our our modification. We are still in the middle of things with them. Who knows what will happen now!

We sent in a payment through there automated payment for our mortgage. And they sent it back saying it was not certified funds, and this cashier cheack was from bank of america I even had the bank manager fax them saying it's certified funds. And they still said it was not, and they left a mark on my credit report

starno starno starno starno star by Anonymous From Indianapolis, IN on April 25, 2008

WARNING: DOCUMENT EVERY CALL AND MAKE A NOTE OF EVERYTHING SAID -TAKE NAMES! I always made my payments on time until I had a personal crisis. Once I was through the hard time I realized I had forgotten to make my monthly payment. I didn't realize I was then into the second month. I called the automated system to make the payment as I always did, but the system wouldn't accept my information. I tried for a few days to get through to a real person, but the calls were dropped, I was placed on hold for long periods of time, transferred to other departments and then disconnected! When I finally got a rep, I was told the account had just been turned over to their legal department. I called that department and it took a few days to reach a live person again! The rep would not accept my payments that would make the account current. I couldn't believe they turn accounts over to legal after missing 2 payments and that they would NOT allow me to make the payments! Instead I was told they could do a loan modification. I sent all the information via fax and was told I would be notified within 30-60 days. A few months later I called back and was told they didn't have any information on file because their office was closed in Texas where I sent the info and my account was reassigned. I resent the info again and was told I would be contacted. I tried calling several times to get an update, but could never reach a live person. Now my house in foreclosure and they say it's my fault because I didn't contact them – what?? They said they called me once during this time and my voice mail was full. I asked why they didn’t call back – the rep said they are only required to call one-time. It appears as if several people have the same issues with them that I’ve had. I think a lawsuit needs to be brought against them.

terrible customer service when calling to make payment arrangements, always friendly unless your late, which is totally unfair. claimed not to have recieved my mortgage payment while the bank says otherwise and causes my account to go in default.

I checked on the web for the internet address on my mortgage bill and could not find it even in Google. I have requested a payoff of my home loan. I have been waiting over three months for it? I asked for a refi and was told that their door was closed? Unethical.

Iwould like freemont to help lower my payments this would help me alot because I owe taxes and other bills. And I am behind because I was diagnoised with cancer after giving birth 2006 and just back to work and back on my feet. And also going through a divorce. Freemont has helped me before to go through lost mitigation and remodify my loan and know allowing me to make payments for 6mths with a review afterwards. But I am still playing catch up so lower payments would be helpful.

We went throu them originally to buy a home - they 'fixed it' so we got approved for a home we really couldn't afford - Thanks Rory - and in Dec 2007 my husband lost his income and we have used our savings to stay thus far. We are now out of saving and options - we will be loosing our home.

Started the loan modification. I had to submit my paperwork twice. Then 10 days later after my second submission we got a letter they sold our loan...How convenient for them.

So far my experience with Freemont Investment & Loan has been a good one. I'm a Realtor assiting a homeowner with a short sale here in the Woodbridge Virginia area. I submitted two offers for the home, all the owners financials, comps, a preliminary hud-1, news articles about the # of foreclosed homes in the area, sent in all the paperwork, via FED-X signed receipt, and the Loss Midigation Dept has been very responsive. Within 2 weeks of submission, I got confirmation the other evening at 8:30pm EST that they were accepting one of the offers, now I am just waiting for the final Short Sale Approval Letter. My loss rep has been very responsive and calls me with updates! If anyone needs help contact us www.ErickSellsHomes.com

When I talked to someone in the lost department, she was very friendly, helpful, and guided me with providing me the information I needed. She told me that I qualified to modify the terms of the loan and recommended I fax over documentation regarding pay, w2, hardship letter. I submitted this all within a day (12/21/07). I've left messages since then, asking for a status regarding that process. I've been on hold with the operator for over an hour to finally hear from them that they're still working on it. They'd email the person who's working on it, asking them to call me back. AND now, 3/19/08, I just got a letter, saying that my loan is now being serviced by another company. Not once, have I received a call to confirm or provide me a status since that first day I talked to that person in the loss dept. POOR customer service and lack of follow-up. Now, I have to try and go through this process AGAIN with the new company. My payment has increased already by $700. It's expected to increase another $500 during summer!!

I have been trying to work with the work-out department since last year. I have now sent in my financials and all of the paperwork 4 times beciase they keep firing people and then loosing it. This last time I had a company called American call me and take my information. They were very nice. However, that was back in January and I am still trying to get in touch with anyone at Fremont. I can't even get ahold of anyone to make a payment, let alone find out about my work-out program. What shjould people like me do now? They have helped to further ruin my credit, no regualr bank will refinance me. What do we do?

starstarno starno starno star by Jacqueline Wada From Kapaa, HI on March 14, 2008

well I have made a payment in January and now they say that we have not made a payment in four months but I made at least one or two and I have the western union papers to proove it! so i really don't know whats going on? and I've tried to modify the loan but nothing isn't happening?

Their loss mitigation department is INCOMPETENT!!! Had to submit the same paperwork 4 times since they keep "losing" it. I'm currently trying to get a loan modification to turn my ARM into a fixed rate mortgage. Started the process in late January (or so I thought), but they have no record. Rep was rude and had the nerves to ask me why I signed on to a loan that I would not be able to continue paying if the rates go up. THE NERVE!!! Like I could foresee the housing market taking a dump!!! Have been attempting to work with this company on avoiding foreclosure since November 2006 and am soooo sick and tired of getting the runaround!!! Avoid doing business with this company AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

A word to those thinking Fremont sold there loans. They did no such thing. They sold the servicing rights. I thought the same thing till I spoke with who owns mine. They informed me that Fremont still has all say in the loans.Who bought mine has a program in place to lock borrowers in only costing $350. Customers who came from Fremont are excluded. Because Fremont will not sign the papers allowing this. Only hope for borrowers is to refi elsewhere or lose your home to Fremont......Govt. really should dig very deep into this co. ethics and underwriting. They are very shady crooked people. When they take my home it's going to be gutted.
