First of all, I have never been late on my mortgage payment. However, I have $140 in NSF that was not my fault. Furthermore customer service is horrible there. I asked for the CEO email address and they refused to give it to me. The manager was rude saying they waived $40 but the remainder is what I owe in NSF fees. It's not that the money wasn't there it was due to a number missing when the rep accepted the payment. Why should I pay for a NSF fee. Good thing I caught the NSF before I was charged a late fee.

Sued them to keep them from foreclosing and they added over $6,000 to my escrow and keep refusing to send bill... Ginger Shegog told me she would lie and say I threatened her last month. Say that there is something in agreement with my original mortgage lender, Waterfield, where they don't have to tell me what the fees are - case never went to court and David Oakley and his baltimore firm simply replied to my suit. More lies to steal - balance was 4248 - paid 6900 - only 2,000 applied and these were last months of payments - should have been paid off with those payments then I was to pay my own taxes/insurance. Keep calling them at 1-904-281-6000, file complaints all over again. They yell and steal and perpetuate fraud but don't want me to curse or tell them they are thieves. Even though you have lost your home, you can still sue them and their employees -- google them again or go to ask.com. Have them served in front of their neighbors and families. They need to be stopped today and since they keep getting away with these crimes they don't care and have no respect. Curse them out and email them to - they don't like emails since this is proof - scan your applications, bank statements, copies of payments and email them since this is their way of getting more fees from you. If they refuse your payments sent them via Western Union, scan them, email them and keep records. They started returning my payments when my balance was 2,000 (total) - now it is back to 10,000 and they wonder why I cuss - then won't give me any info. other than statement on Escrow labeled advanced legal fees - they are retaliating since I sued them and it is illegal to make me pay for their legal fees for suing them - they tell me they can and were to highlight this language - never did and I got home 30 years ago with another company. They are criminals and these are not mistakes. Ginger Shegog 1-904-281-2421 threatens to lie - but that is what they always do - don't know truth.

My mortgage was previously held by Bank of America until they sold it to Everhome Mortgage 12/22/2011. I am late with my mortgage from 10/1/2011 to the present. I sent in two mortgage payments however I believe the check will be mailed back to me. Thank you in advance.

I read through these blogs before calling them for the first time since my mortgage was sold to them. I was behind almost 4 months and was nervous about my first contact with them based on these blogs. I was pleasantly surprised! I spoke with Bernice, Clyde and then one other person (i forgot to write down their name) and they were all professional and helpful. A repayment plan was set up and I am more at ease now knowing I will be back on track within the next 8 months (I am paying the past due in 8 installments)....anyway, I am sure each case is unique but I just wanted to reassure others who were reading all of the negative blogs that in my case they were helpful and willing to work with me. Good luck to all......Glad to know I am not the only one who has had a really tough year economically.

We closed on our home November 1999 by First Union Bank and we had no problem until our loan was bought by Everhome Mortgage Company. This company is the worst of the worst. They are so low and dirty until we wish that their doors could have closed four or five years ago and this mean we would not have any chances of dealing with them. Unfortunately this did not happened and we ended up with them. We got a deal that I don't think anyone in their right mind could have thought this was legal and okay to do. We were told along with the Director of the program we bought our house through that all we needed to do was to pay the three months we were behind $2,108 and we would be find. Well, a cashier check was sent to them via All South Credit Union and they returned the money back stating the house was already in a foreclosure. We filed bankruptcy on May 5, 2008 to prevent the foreclosure. On July 6, our attorney filed the paperwork, however, on August 6, 2008 we were served with paperwork by someone from Wachovia Bank stating we had a foreclosure that it was too late to file the paperwork to stop the foreclosure which we know was a lie and for us to meet court on August. 15, 2008. Well, after been called in court by the Judge he didn't understand the case and they went up and whisper something to him and he said oh that this case and he told me we could leave that someone would be in touch with us. Well, several days later we received paperwork to meet our Trustee and she didn't have information on it. A representative from our Attorney Office asked to approach her and she stated something to her and Ms. Goodwin said Oh that's this case. Well it seems as though everything was a sham and that they were trying not to be a part of it but didn't know what to do. We even went to Consumer Affairs and they told us we had a law suit and they could help but two weeks later it went down hill. They were singing a new song. Our hopes were high and by the time Wachovia and Everhome got to the people, it was over. We don't even know how Wachovia got involved but they did. Which they should have stayed out and now they are owned by Well Fargo. Everhome will get theirs too, just wait. God is not dead he is alive. Will someone please find away to do a Class action lawsuit. They have done too many homeowners wrong and have taken too many homeowners home away from them. We need some action taken. Brian and Sandra, Columbia, SC

My experience with Everhome Mortgage is much the same as all of the other posts to this website. The only way you have no problems with Everhome is to make every payment on time and have no issues with escrows, insurance claims etc. This company is responsible for destroying the American Dream in more ways than I can count.

My mortgage was sold to them from Irwin Mortgage Company. From day one, I had nothing but trouble. The Readers Digest Version: I contacted them before I got into trouble. They didn't want to help me. Over several months, I complied with all the paperwork they requested, each time they either wouldn't give me a straight answer or blatantly lied to me. I was threatened, harassed at the house as well as by the phone, and was told they were going to have me put in jail. Between all that and them telling me that it is supposedly legal in Florida that they can change the locks without me knowing about it, I had enough and moved. Being that I moved across town, a year & a half later, they still claimed that they wanted to work with me. LIE!!! Anyway, they foreclosed one me. It broke my heart deeply. Then one day I woke up.. they don't care about me, they only care about their money, so the heck with them.!! I never missed a payment and was never late. And to top it off, when I was trying to short sale they refused every offer and even came & looked at the house, posing as potential buyers. I knew it was them because they kept asking my boyfriends questions about the house, not me.. the owner. (They claimed I had an un-named spouse through all of this) Can someone PLEASE help in getting a class-action lawsuit put together? They are seriously ruining peoples lives. I guess that's what greed does to people!

I have submitted over 6 applications for assistance and they have refused to work with me. I have been out of work since January 2009 and only fell behind once unemployment benefits stopped. I have endeavored to make payments and have not fallen more than 2 months behind, yet, they continue to refuse to assist me. My property value is still holding and they know this. It would be a win win situation for them to foreclose on me. However, I would not generate enough fees for them at this point.

Was not responsible when purchasing our family's loan. Was negligent in following up on requesting our escrow money from our initial lender. Because of this our home owners insurance was cancelled. Our loan payment went up 220.00 dollars a month. This kind of financial burden was enough to cause a chain reaction that lead to our divorce and to hospitalizing my wife.

Everhome Mortgage fast tracked me into foreclosure after me making a $200,000 payment 5 months before hand. I got over 30 days late and they refused a payment and then stuck me in default. As I tried to figure out my options and gather cash they stuck me in foreclosure. After multiple attempts to get a correct reinstatement amount I began to deal exclusively with the foreclosure law firm. They were great and I was able to reinstate the loan. I have 3 payments left and then this loan is paid off. It is my opinion that Everhome wanted to foreclose quickly on my house because I owed them $19,000 and the house is worth $600K.

We recently paid off our mortgage (using equity accelerator) that had been held by Everhome for the last 5 or 6 years (Irwin prior). I never had any problems dealing with customer service. They were always helpful and answered all questions posed to them in a timely fashion.

Everhome Mortgage company has been rough to deal with, especially my insurance through them. I would have to pay for my home insurance out of my pocket while the insurance company was trying to contact them for payment. I asked for guidance, but the people over the phone were not willing to work with me or provide any information.

I put my house up for sale because I lost my job. It made me behind on my payments. They said they they would not start foreclosure stuff until the listing was up. They lied and started it. Today I went to check on my house and they had changed the front door locks. So they are a bunch of liars and they really do suck. A few years ago I was switched over to this company. Some how they got the mortgage in foreclosure without notification One day I got a letter saying they were my mortgage company now. Mr Jeffrey Hasha You can email at jeffhasha@rocketmail.com

I am new at owning a home so I didn't know where to turn when Everhome began the process to foreclose on my home. At the time I was 4 mos behind, which quickly turned into 7 when trying to play catch up. I tried to make 4 months worth of payments, but the customer service agent advised I needed to make the payment via Western Union or bank account THAT VERY MOMENT. I advised the agent the money was currently in the form of Money orders and I would need to deposit them before any of his options would work. The agent gave me until the close of business to make that happen. Well...needless to say, I left work early (docked 3 hrs) to run home...get the money orders, run to the bank, then call Everhome back to make the payments to avoid my paperwork being sent to the "attorneys". Well, lack of documentation on my account from the agent in the "customer service" department sent my account to the "attorneys" for processing. When I called back to make the payment, I was advised by the next customer service agent that it was "too late" my paperwork had been sent about an hr after I got off the phone with the last agent! Moving forward, I contacted the attorney's office now 4 hrs later and they advised they had not received the info yet and I needed to wait until it was processed in their office to make arrangements. She receptionist did state that I could contact Everhome to have them stop the process by calling the attorneys office to halt the process. Needless to say, when I phoned Everhome back, they said it was too late. I was advised of my new payment amount which included ridiculous attorney and late fees. Which meant there was NO way I was going to get that kind of money up in the time frame given. I stood in line at a NACA event from 2p-2a to get help. They asked for important docs pertaining to my home and situation and halted the foreclosure process IMMEDIATELY! With less than a month before the foreclosure sale date, I was on the phone with a different Everhome agent who actually cared about my situation!! She reworked my mortgage payments to something a lot better than what I had, but the real help was when I spoke to another agent who slipped me a bit of information we could all use. When I asked her about why my mortgage when up $300 per month she stated once you stopped making payments to Everhome we had to secure our own insurance on the home at a different rate. Unfortunately for me it was a lot higher than what I searched hard to find to begin with. The insurance they put on my home was an extra $350 per month. She stated if I wanted to lower my payments even more... shop around for a cheaper homeowners policy. I went online to one of those comparison websites and received different quotes that better suited my bank account! It lowered my payments dramatically! Everhome's customer service department has a LOT to learn when it comes to "servicing the customer". I can truly say if it weren't for NACA and their intervention, I don't think I would have gotten past the pitbulls at the switchboard to someone with more sympathy for my situation. They called me ready to WORK THINGS OUT! The agent stated they didn't want me to lose my home and was going to work with me to help lower my payments to something I could afford. I wish you (the reader) all the best on saving your Dream!

I got behind in my house payments to be specific 3. On the 70th day i tried to make all 3 house payments and they wouldn't let me. They said that I was in pre-foreclosure and wouldn't accept any payments from me. They told me I had to contact the attorney, there is no attorney it is a debt collection agency. Now, the debt agency will not accept the payments either because they haven't received the paperwork from everhome. I am trying to make payments -- why wouldn't they accept it. what do I do? I am panicked that they are going to foreclose on my house before I even get a chance to fix. Got any advice -- please help.

You can file suit against Everhome yourself and represent yourself in front of a Judge, not just Everhome and their lawyers. Check the internet and call your courthouse to find out procedures. Not a lot of money to file. I am in same situation, and now I have received no mail for months... File complaints with FLBBB, FTC, HUD, OTS, congressmen, senators, press and whoever else you need to... These are criminals you are dealing with, send payments via Western Union, copy and scan all documents - email them to document and show proof since even though they ignore emails, they are legal and they can't say they didn't get them. Main office is Jacksonville, FL 32256-4405 Phone: (904) 281-6000 (press 1 to dial by name, all employees listed and you can try combinations of those names to add to your emails. Everbank owns Everhome so contact them also, and add them to suit. Document everything since Everhome will be document information that is not factual.

Do not use EverHome Mortgage!!! I needed to contact them regarding some problem I shall explain later. I could not find an email address on their web site. I then decided to fax them my complain. I used the fax number listed on their web site, and none of the 7 numbers worked. The numbers were voice line, busy, or disconnected. How can fax be busy at 4 am PST on a Saturday? The actual complain I have with them was that they charged flood insurance to my account because I have failed to provide prove of insurance. In fact, I have faxed and mailed the prove of insurance to the number and address on the letter I received regarding this matter. After that I was still getting letter asking for the prove, so I finally called. The person I talked to on the phone told me they have moved. How could this national mortgage company did not forward their mail is beyond me. I faxed the flood insurance document to the correct fax number, and the letter stopped. A few months has passed. I received new payment coupon to be used to send my regular payment. Some where in this coupon, it listed the insurance they have charged.

Everhome Mortgage has been screwing us around since Jan 10. They have claimed we missed payments. We had confirmation #'s, had to fight for months to get that fixed... each time. They received payments on time, only to claim we were late. They tacked on late fee's and didn't notify us. The following payments, because they did not include the late fee were categorized as "partial payments" and contributed to delinquency of payments. They foreclosed on our mortgage without notifying us. We found out from friends who are up in the "fix and flip" business. We tried to record the phone conversations we had with them, but once we told them the phone call will be recorded, they refused to talk to us on the phone. We explained that we are both disabled. The primary income member had to quit work due to diabetes. Further complications arose with military service connected PTSD, anxiety, depression. We applied for mortgage adjustment using their procedures and forms. They claim they never received it, several times, mailed, mailed, mailed, faxed. In my opinion this is a criminal corporation.

But what wins lawsuits easily, is proof that Everhome has a pattern and practice of organized theft by demonstrating that it happens to lots of people all the time. You should all leave sufficient contact info. so that each of you can be witnesses for each other in lawsuits. After 6 years of always paying my mortgage current I fell behind by 1 payment & called to advise I wanted to make arrangements. I was told I only qualify for a forbearance plan for 6 months then they would reevaluate me for a permanent modification fix. I now wish I had simply continued to catch myself up. While on the forbearance they escalated my default amount 10 times what if should have been. Every time I called them they advised I hadn't sent payments for months even though I tried to prove I had by faxing them my bank statements. I was constantly rerouted from loss & mitigation to supervisors who wouldn't return phone calls & then I was told I couldn't leave duplicate callback messages. I began working with Making Homes Affordable who submitted all my paperwork prior to the required time. After the 6 months was up I continued to send payments to them but they were returned & when I called they claimed only a lump sum payment of $8000 plus would secure my loan. EH continued to delay me & my counselors by requesting the same documents every 2 weeks. No matter how many times they received my current paperwork they would delay & hold me up. 4 days before my foreclosure date they called me & said I was approved for a Modification 24 but needed to secure it with an unexplained amount within 3 hours. The Everhome mitigation rep refused to send me anything in writing or the terms of the modification & when I asked more questions she became irate. Monday was Labor Day & despite my calls and voice mails they sold my home on that Tuesday. I never was given adequate time to save my home & despite my pleas to Fannie Mae & EH they continued to advise that it was because I stop making my payments. Then when I showed proof my payments were returned they said it was because I didn't pay the amount requested. I seeking legal counsel to ask for an injunction due to Everhome's practices and misleading concepts. I sincerely pray for anyone in the same situation with EverHome. Contact BBB of FL and the FBI. I have written congress and Washington & I'm contacting local news agencies

Everhome is the worst mortgage company I have ever heard of. People have been sending in their payments & they send the checks back to them just so people will lose their homes. They think they can still win when taken to court even though they are in the wrong. Thank goodness we never had them. We have our house all paid for & our payments were always received & credited to our house payments & now our house is all paid for but evidently it would had never been paid for with Everhome. No one should ever have Everhome for their Mortgage company because their house will never get paid for.

EVERHOME E-mails (MORTGAGE FRAUD) kim.mcmanus@everhomemortgage.com, mary.braddock@everhomemortgage.com, renee.holmes@everhomemortgage.com, CORPORATE OFFICE (no better than CustServ) 904-281-9000; hit 1# to dial by name or number; koster# (President); follow directions for dial by name (just as bad as customer service but call and insist on help); scan and email everything go them since they are very shady and have no ethics (they even lie with E-mails but don't let them protect your home and family). GOOGLE THEM AS THEY HAVE OFFICES IN OTHER PLACES, I.E., COLUMBIA, MD, ATLANTA - - any problems with payments send them via Western Union = 12.50 same day delivery (you can scan copy and send to them) they are definitely crooks - When you dial by name try a couple combinations to figure out E-mails of people you need since they don't want documentation. File HUD RESPA complaint (bv law have to respond, but still don't), Office Thrift Supervision, senators, congressmen, governors, press, and whoever else you can to protect yourself -- even contact the Courthouse if they have filed false documentation for foreclosure (they steal escrow and refuse to give information on money consumers pay. They lie about everything even if you have proof, then say don't call or email information just mail it - you mail, fax, certify mail (they still don't receive it). Sending email to them is legal and it protects you and this is why they told me not to send email (they don't want documentation and feel they can now just ignore me (same as before). Record all calls with them as they are very deceitful and greedy - make them regret the victims they have created and fight them back -- they ignore phone and each person has a different lie! Send E-mails and confirm them with more E-mails - only proof and documentation you have - then if they lie to you or on you again -- remind them of the E-mails (kept telling me they never received them but I have everyone I ever sent them...and the lies they tell (escrow balances, payments, late fees when not late, and other crimes perpetuated against us by Everhome...they never receive mail, faxes, even paying by Western Union when they get payments same day they lie - week later after late fee when original. mortgage company never did this, had hidden escrow statements and money)

This company is designed to let time work against you. I applied for a loan modification with "Neverhome" Mortgage and they gave me a 6 month forbearance with reduced payments. Yippee right? WRONG! Not only was I six now plus month delinquent, but was given a 2 month runaround filled with endless faxing escapades --- rep says it can take up to 60 days for a response....Result, at day 62, I receive 5 letter stating a foreclosure date... A joke???! I did everything right and still have to face something that neverhome mortgage clearly had control of!!! This company needs to be investigated....I refuse to lose due to bogus protocol and fraud!

by Lauren Liu From Jersey City, NJ on July 07, 2010
I have never deal with any company that is as greedy as this company. I paid off my loan on the date that they calculated. They have decided to charge me $196.12 interest because they did not received the payment until 3 days later - long weekend for them. so I had to pay extra 3 days of service but I paid on July 2nd and my pay off day was on July 5th. So i paid 3 days in advance and ending up charging a 3 days extra interest.... I have never heard of that and they said if they do not receive it by 48 hours, they will wire all my money back!!!??? what a nightmare. my loan got to sold to them and I am really wondering how long they could be in business for!!!!!!

Wish there were a minus button on this rating choice because that is what I would give to EverHome! I originally wrote a complaint on April 6, 2009-please read. Here I am over a year later and I am no better off- divorced, bankrupt and holding on to my childhood home by the skin of my teeth. I have tried 3 times to get my ARM loan modified by EverHome and the latest letter I received from them after the last attempt said "We are unable to reach a decision for reasons beyond our control". WHAT A COP OUT!!! I called them and asked for an explanation and was told it was because I was current on my payments, yet they turned around and asked me when can they expect the July payment to be made-please note the date this is written- July 6th. Told them that because I work for a school district and get paid every QW (quarter weekly-every 4 weeks) this is the district's fiscal year break so I will get a pay check on the 8th of this month but it will only be for 7 days worth of pay so I wasn't sure if I'd have enough to make my house payment and now that they told me that this was the reason why I was denied - I may not even try! I thought there were new programs out there that were suppose to help those who are current on their payments and not yet behind? But it's obvious that EverHome chooses not to participate or help their clients. She asked me if I could refinance my loan - told her that because of the bankruptcy I had to file due to the debt my ex-husband left me in, my credit score is really low at this time, plus my home value has decreased substantially making me upside down on the loan so a refi wouldn't be enough to pay off the current loan with them and I surely wouldn't do it with their company anyway! I was hoping to try to refi in about 5 years when my credit score had improved and hoped the economy had turned around enough. Don't know what's going to happen with my house. I may be walking away from my childhood home of 57 years shortly! This company makes me both physically and emotionally ill!

Our loan from Provident Bank was bought out by Everhome back in 2006. My marriage went bad in 2008 and I had to file for a divorce and then bankruptcy due to the amount of debt my ex-husband left me. All that was last year-2009. This year after I got my head (heart) and paperwork together I asked them for a loan modification and faxed them over the needed paperwork on January 8, 2010. They did not "record" it as received until January 26, 2010. At which time I received a letter about a week letter that I needed to supply one more piece of paperwork which I immediately faxed over to that persons (thought it was my caseworker) attention. On February 10, 2010 I contacted Everhome to check the status and was told it was assigned to a caseworker (a different person) and that she would have to respond within 30-45 days so I marked my calendar. On March 17th I called to ask status and was told it was no longer in that case workers hands, but in someone else and that it has been "denied" I asked why and was told it was because I've been "able to maintain my payments and haven't been late". Told them they didn't have any idea if I'd been borrowing the money or taking it from retirement funds or what - was told I'd receive a letter shortly. I left a voice mail for the #3 case worker - never did receive a phone call from any of those case workers! On March 31st I called Everhome again and stated I never received the letter of denial and asked for a copy. The girl had stated that she would get it out to me and it was dated March 15, 2010 (got it on April 6, 2010.) She asked me if I knew the reason for the denial and told her yeah I was told it was because I'd paid in full and on time....she said that wasn't necessarily so and that she'd check his notes. Came back and told me that I had a monthly "surplus"-asked her exactly what constitutes a surplus. She couldn't answer me. When I did get the letter on April 6 (the one they dated March 15) all it said was that the reviewer has denied the approval of a loan modification - no reason....NOTHING! I will call HUD, I will call HOPE NOW, I will do something....I just don't have a lot of money to hire an attorney and they ought to realize that since I'd filed bankruptcy I could walk away (not that I want to - I grew up here) and they can't touch me for anything but the taxes. I want to know where our help is. Where, Mr. Obama is our bail out!?!? Just trying to survive and move forward and hating EverHome and the ex every step of the way!

I lost my job in March 2009, and up until then was doing fine paying my mortgage. I used up all my savings keeping my payments up until Sept. 2009 and I ask for help from my mortgage company, and they sold us off to Everhome instead of helping us. So we went through all the paperwork again with Everhome, and all we ask is for some assistance till I get back to work and they can't even do that they would rather put me in foreclosure than to help what happened to all that bank bail out money that was to help people like myself and others in financial stress. Must be given to the employees of the banks cause it sure is not helping the American people.

I think the worst thing about this Company is not only their lack of Cooperation but their lack of Communication. You would think that as a Large Corporation they would assign a Home Owner a Loan Officer. But instead they leave the Home Owner at the Mercy of a person on the other end of the phone, who is reading from a script and when you ask questions that they don't know how to answer they start getting frustrated and snippety with you. We have been dealing with this mess for going on a year. We thought we were doing the right thing by calling the Company last June when we realized we were heading for hard financial times. So before we got into trouble, we called them and talked to a guy that said No worries, We can help You. Yea right. We have remained in constant contact with the company and have continually gotten the run around and still no answers and still no solutions. They get frustrated?? The stress that their unwillingness to cooperate has started to take a toll not only on our Marriage, but on our Health. We are NOT looking for a free ride. We WANT to make our payments and we can make our payments, but not at the amount they set when they first bought our loan. We keep getting correspondence from them saying "We want to Help You". Then for God's sake, HELP ALL OF US! We are all doing the best we can, yet we are all losing our homes because no one in the Company can communicate in a positive and reliable manner. We just don't understand why this huge Corporation can not and will not help those that are trying to meet their obligations. The only thing left to do is pray for a miracle that some one somewhere in this Company has a little compassion for the people who are suffering the most. Isn't it all bad enough that now that everyone seems to be living well below the poverty line and on food stamps, now face losing everything that they have all worked so hard for? Come on EverHome, Have a Heart, and Help the People that are Helping YOU keep your job and Home!

My mortgage was sold to them and they immediately bought forced insurance on the property. Although I had insurance and have provided proof it has been a never ending battle to recover the costs for the forced insurance. I provided the required documents and had it verified to myself and my insurance agent. Now the documents have conveniently disappeared and again I am forced to provide info already given to them 5 times. I can only conclude they are trying to evade paying for the 3 months of the unnecessary forced insurance. And after reading all the above comments what I believe seems ever more likely.

First I want to address the idiot that told us all to quit bitching and pay our bills. My Husband and I are self employed. We work harder than most to eek out a living. WE PAY OUR BILLS!! We even pay them before they come in the Mail! We are NOT in debt to anyone other than EVERHOME, who is royally screwing us without the benefit of Kitty Litter OR Vaseline. They LIE, and CHEAT, they refuse to do anything by mail because they don't want the lies they tell in writing AND, instead of finding out that they are screwing you over by a common courtesy of a phone call......YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM!!!!! Before EVERHOME, was EVERHOME, they were FIRST ALLIANCE and when the FTC shut them down for illegal Practices, they just slithered away and went and started some where new like most THIEVES! We didn't choose EVERHOME, we were bought by them and that's what pisses me off. We didn't have a say in the matter. Today, I will spend my day, writing emails to: THE WHITEHOUSE, THE FTC, THE BBB, MY SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN. We are also looking for people that would like to join in on a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. Does anyone know if they can be sued for negligence for blatant lack of action? I have done everything in my power to stop the foreclosure. It's been on the market since April. I think "E"s comments are pretty ignorant to suggest that people who are in foreclosure are "lazy". How dare you! Do you know everyone's situation? I don't want to lose my home to foreclosure. Most of these are the results of Predatory lending coupled with a Depressive Economy. Most people would be lucky to find One job, let alone 2 or 3! So shut your hole, ignorant fool! I think it's funny how there are some random 5 star comments from "Jacksonville", where the company is based out of.

To Hilda Hilman from Frederick MD and anyone else who thinks like her...I certainly hope that you attitude about finding even a 3rd job to keep your home from foreclosure never changes what you are diagnosed with cancer and have a subsequent AAA bypass surgery 2 weeks later and then lose your job forcing you to pay the high price of a cobra just to keep you insurance while you undergo cancer treatments never changes. I am sure you are super woman and the side effects of the treatment wont deter you from finding those 3 jobs. And of course they will gladly hire you knowing that you are sick and will be missing days of work due to the treatments. I truly hope that the next time you voice your comments calling people lazy and irresponsible you will consider all of the possibilities and consider just how insensitive your comments may be. I have taken responsibility for all that I have for the last 11 years. The 12th year has been full of medical issues. Being single, the cost of Dr visits, medication and paying for cobra insurance has drained me. With the housing market bust I can not sell my house and I have tried for over a year. Your reality is yours and not everyone has the ability to share in your reality. May you experience someone else's reality. Maybe then you will learn about sensitivity.

We have been trying desperately to sell our house in Florida (short sale). Everhome keeps raising the amount they want from the buyer. The buyer we had lined up is questioning if he now wants the hassle. We are not foreclosing due to being lazy. We had extreme medical bills (over $30 K) due to medical issues and of course the slow economy did not help. We were willing to foreclose but have been waiting 3 years. About a year ago we learned we could still short sale the house. Now as the time is finally drawing to a close and with the buyer having waited 8 mo for a house in need of repairs we are desperate!

It does not make me feel good in the least to tell anyone that I work for this crooked company. The first chance I get, I will leave and never look back. As far as you EverHome customers, the advice I have for you is should you have a complaint, send it directly to Mike Koster, he is a joke as well, but maybe the complaints will be taken more seriously if sent to him. The CS sucks. The department is run by Robin Murdock, who is just as crooked as the rest of the higher ups at this company. Its a cut throat company full of people that will stomp on anyone to get to the top. They will lie and cheat to get where they want to. My issue mainly is about all the people on the website who signed mortgages and now don't want to take responsibility for what you have. You knew that when you signed the mortgage papers, there could be a possible time in the future when you could lose your job, go through a divorce, etc...Now that this is happening, you are all complaining wondering how Everhome can help you. If my house went into foreclosure, I would go out and get a second job and maybe 3rd if I needed one. I would do what it took to keep my house. Most people on here are lazy and want free handouts. Also for the people that complain about mortgages being sold and all of the hassles that go along with it, get over it!! This is part of the business and how mortgage companies make their money.

We are having the same issue with everhome. My husband lost his job due to downsizing. We went from 70,000. a year to 20,000. Called and ask for a modification, they sent us a contract for a new payment of 631 instead of the 1098 we were paying. After we sent in our first new payment and they cashed oour check, we got a phone call telling us that our modification was denied. That was a breach of contract since they cashed our check. We are now going through our attorney generals office. I suggest if you are having problems with them as well, contact your local attorney generals office to file a complaint.

Before everhome captured my mortgage (without my permission), I received notice my insurance was paid the month before capture showing deduction to escrow. After the capture I received another notice the insurance was paid from everhome escrow showing the deduction. Over a month into the hostile takeover Everhome tells me it was not paid and was instead cancelled. They force me to pay their subsidiary company for insurance for the previous month plus and bill me at almost triple my insurance rate for the time. This problem caused by everhome not following all the required laws and illegally canceling my old insurance. Their solution is to charge me more money. . . I have looked around and there are tons of identical stories, doubtful anything will change, once a crooked company always a crooked company.

Customer Service is horrid..The company in general is.. We called to see if we could get our PMI eliminated they advised that we could but they wouldn't accept any other appraisal on our house but their own...WHAT.. So we have to pay them 300 dollars to under appraise our home so that they can tell us we have to continue to pay? Also I have been paying my payment over the phone with in the grace period and payed the ridiculous fee. Now that I can pay earlier it sounds like it is either that fee or a late fee. As for the CS rep that says not to blame CS for the company... I don't I blame them for their rude and harsh comments. I Have worked in that environment. You work for a company that rips people off...deal or get a different JOB

Some areas are not helpful they prefer to see you lose your home. Some of the reps are very rude, they act like they are paying for the houses (especially in the loss mitigation department). During this time they should want to foreclose on anyone house because they will lose out as well. If the person can afford the house but need help getting caught up they should be helpful not rude about the situation. With the loan modification programs out there Everhome is not willing to help you with that program. I am a single parent and lost the other half of income that use to come in due to a divorce. I feel like it should be some help with that situation to help get back on the right track. I don't want to lose my home just need some help getting on the right track again.

I am currently discussing a lawsuit against them for violation of the federal laws regarding collections, mortgage laws, foreclosures and pure fraud. In a short way of putting it, they lie and do not follow through with their promises nor the law according to my current experience. I am hoping that the administration contacts per my request soon or I will lose my home. However, restitution will be more than enough to buy me another one I am sure. Very discouraged, James T. I called and asked why I was charged a late fee over and over.I mailed my payments 15 days before due date. The man on the other end said well sometimes your payment sits on someones desk for awhile and that's how it could be late,he then said if its not on my desk by the due date its late,so that's why you keep getting charged extra. Also the good coments you see on this site are from people whom work for Everhome and they are just trying to keep they're jobs they are told to do so.

Look Everhome may not be the best of companies, but one thing is for sure don't bash the people in customer service. I bet most of you never worked in such an enviroment, we are merely the voice for the company. Trying to get paid to live our lives as well. If you are insensitive to the fact that we are trying our hardest to help you, and we don't get paid enough to listen to half the crap that comes through, then find elsewhere to refi. Also we never signed the documents you didn't read.

I was in bankruptcy for 5 years when the loan was sold from irwin mortgage to everhome. I went to pay my mortgage and they told me I was 2 months behind after the bankruptycy had been cleared for 2 weeks, I paid the loan, and the rep told me I need to call the bankruptcy court and TELL them to send the money. I replied "you don't tell the court what to do", after several request to speak to supervisor, they finally cleared some things. Repeat this month, wouldn't take my payment by automated phone or internet, and have to mail it in. They'd look into why my account was not cleared from bankruptcy, so they kindly took my payment for $100 more than the authorized amount, with a $20 service charge for calling it in. Nonsense, I can see fro reading here they don't care about the military, as mine is a VA Loan.

worst company ever!!!! they purchased our loan and from there on nothing but problems! Had financial problems due to health issues. Hubby called to get refinanced and ended up getting a thirty minute lecture on budgeting. We just needed lower payments they offered to help by making our payments 200 more each month. long story short, we walked away from our home and accepted the foreclosure. This company repeatedly stated that we did not have property insurance coverage which we did with travelers company. They kept tacking on their expensive insurance with American although I had insurance in place with Travelers. They never paid the premium to Travelers who eventually cancelled for non payment even though they claimed payment was sent and then rejected by Travelers which Travelers states they never received. This occurred about three times and each time I called and it appeared that the situation was cleared up even though they kept attaching their very expensive insurance. This wrangling caused a shortage in my escrow account and a sudden $200.00 jump in my mortgage payment. Now, I can't afford the increase and fear they will foreclose, They are awful, incompetent, and unprofessional. KAREN FARER, Covington, GA

My husband and I fell on hard times due to illness, loss of wages, and a disabled son who depends on us. I also am disabled with 5 back surgeries, bad heart, my husband lost his overtime at work one of my disability checks was cut also my sons s.s.check. My husband also has a bad back ,cut his thumb tip off lost wages due to time off. We love our home do not want to lose it,my husband works hard every day to pay bills. Everhome will not work with us they will only take partial payment if we sign papers saying we would pay another extra $400.00 a month for a year with our already $1000.00 a month payment. If that's the case which we cannot afford we wouldn't be behind. Everhome also bought our loan without us knowing it they are heartless people who are greedy don't care about hard working people having hard times. How would they like to be in our shoes struggling ,worrying, they know the economy is bad give us a chance, for once in your life don't be RUDE! have a conscience look what's going on around you! My husband and I have dealt with Everhome for about 4yrs and every year it is the same thing. In about April or May they send me letters stating that I do not have flood insurance, which I am required to have. Well this year, as of midnitht 3/17 I have no insurance. I called my insurance carrier they say that they have not received the payment. When I call Everhome they say that the payment was sent 3/9. Everhome says that the check is not back. So until someone finds that check I have no insurance. I would like to know why this company is still in business, and why nothing can be done to straighten these people up. We work hard for what we have. It is not fair that a company can lie to people and get away with it. Everho

Everhome Mortgage Company is trying to set my family and I up for failure. Due to SEVERAL life altering situations out of our control we are at risk of losing our 1st home, purchased in March of 2004. From the loss of our youngest son, Blake to SMA, my brother, Robby, age 39, my Mother and best friend, JoAnn, my Father, Jimmy and G-ma, Ethel McCullough age 56 to Cancer within a five year time frame. To, the loss of my position as a Region Account Executive for a Staffing Firm earning $55k + commission at the time of lay-off as well as my husbands position with John Deere after eight years of service, has taken a toll on my family and I. We worked diligently for eight years to earn this home and continued our dedication throughout all the challenges LIFE has thrown our way. All the way up until the lay-offs began. Everhome offered a loan modification raising our mortgage payment from $1,116.00/mo to $1,686.00/mo for eleven months. My initial payment I said I could send immediately was $2,400.00 and within a week and a half my first payment of $1,682.00 would be due. When I called in and spoke with CSR, she stated I told her I could not work a repayment plan, NOT TRUE! This was never said. I found this out by calling the following week and the next CSR stated " I do not know what you said during you last conversation however she typed in here, you stated you could not set up a repayment program", I NEVER SAID THIS! Who, would? This is our lively hood and everything we have worked very hard for. I will not give up as we DO HAVE RIGHTS! My QUESTION is, why would they sell themselves short? Also, how can you call your mortgage company regarding information you seen and read via TV from the President of the United States and your Mortgage Company lie to you? I was told my sale date was extended by one month, only to subscribe to a Real Estate listing of foreclosures a find my HOME, listed for sale on on March 3, 2009, not April, 2009 as I was told by one of their CRS's??? Where are the ETHICS and MORALS that one should possess when it comes to a Family's HOME!

When you try to call, 20 minute holds - my wife can't do that from her own office, so she isn't able to talk to a live person.

My mortgage was sold to EverHome some time back- and I decided to pay off the loan. In order to get the payoff information, you have to pay $5 to have them fax it to you. As a part of that fax, the instructions tell you to call before you wire the money. I called, and received a new payoff amount- it was an odd deal as my escrow account was negative. We had to go to a supervisor for that. I reviewed all of the charges quoted ( $5 fax fee, which should have been paid out of escrow? $12. service charge for the wire, negative escrow amount..) added it all up, as did the rep on the line, and we both agreed to the amount. Went to the bank yesterday, and wired it off. The information for the payoff I faxed- to the number they gave me, except it's been busy for 22 hours straight. This morning I received a call- My amount was $58.33 short.. and they put this in voice mail. I called back, and again, off to a supervisor. Now the amount was $68.33 short! And, no, they would not fax that information to me (nothing in writing!), or explain what went wrong with the process, but I had until Friday morning to "make it right". They did not want to listen to the voice mail with the different amount quoted 20 minutes earlier, either. During the first call, it was suggested I let them debit my account directly. I can only imagine what would have happened with that! Off to the bank, for another wire fee..

Well although I was in fact shocked to first find this web sight with all these comments, but also shocked to see that all these people have quite the same problems as I have had with this Co. in the past. WELL THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET!! Everhome was the 2nd time my loan was sold to another bank. They are currently my new mortage co. My most recent problem is that on their web sight they have my information listed as a 30 year loan, when in actually it is in fact a 20 yer loan!! Ive called and informed them that I indeed have all the original paperwork stating that this is a 20 year loan originally. An operator even laughed at me on the phone when I told him that. Ive faxed, mailed, and cent certified mail. Yet to no avail. I am currently in contact with my layer. Buyer beware this is not a morgtage company you want to deal with. You can never be connected with a supervisor and when you ask to have your conversation recorded you are told it is not possible at this time. I have written to the president of this bank and sent copies as well to each and every dept I can think of to resolve this issue to no avail. Also they refuse to pay my taxes, windstorm, and homeowners payments to the proper companies. I have to call and remind them that this is all included with my mortgage payments!! They are perfectly happy to take my money but refuse to pay the proper companies. This is only a small amount of the problems I have had with this company. My house is due to be paid off in only three years, 2013. According to Everhome I have to pay them the house payments until 2023!! Even though I have all the original documents! Run don't walk from this company if you are thinking of using them for your mortgage company. No, No, No or there will be HELL TO PAY-AND YOU WILL BE THE ONE PAYING IT!

Our mortgage was given to EverHome Mortgage after our company went out of business. We didn't find out it had been given to them until Feb. when they told us to pay them or our house would be foreclosed on. They had been taking over for the other company since Oct of the previous year. The customer service dept it the MOST useless people in the world. I kept being told "NO I can't do this" "NO I can't do that." I finally blew up @ a "customer service" (Ha!)representative & demanded to be put through to a supervisor. Of course then I get a little help from him. But it still took over 3 months of calling 2-3 times a week yelling. Calling my old company trying to get my records of payment. The old company sending ALL of my payment records5-6 times. Me faxing, & mailing my canceled check that had been deposited by EverHome several time. After telling the 4 different supervisors in 4 different departments that I wanted the name, address & telephone# of the president, vice-president, & CEO of the company(which I did get & called each one) my payments all of a sudden were found. The foreclosure dept & payment dept, & late payment dept do NOT seem to have any type of interoffice communication. The late department had 2 of my payment & the foreclosure dept does not believe a judge when he says the customer has been in bankrupcy for 3 years & has paid the entire bill for the past 36 months on time even with records to prove it. According to the foreclosure dept they don't have access to all the notes the supposed customer service dept writes while your talking on the phone with them. I believe everone that has a problem with this company should go to the BBB & then start sending mail, e-mail, phone calls to main headquarts, people on the board of officers for this company. They start getting bombarded with disgruntled customers they start thinking of the bottom line. It should get something stirred up to change.

These stories couldn't be more similar to mine. I just got a hold of someone who told me I needed to take accountablity for my late payments. They bought my mortgage from another company in November and I've been attempting to take care of payments/confusion with the previous company since they aquired my loan. I've now paid nearly $6000 and the remainder I need to get in good standing changes every time we talk. They put me on a repayment plan, then said my home was in forclousre and the plan was invalid (my home should not be in foreclousure) so I couldn't make the payment on the due date. I was told I would be contacted within 48 hours by someone who could straighten out the mess, they never called. I called back, tried again and paid them more money. I finally spoke with a supervisor and we seemed to have worked it all out. When we called yesterday to pay the remainder everything we were told was supposedly wrong. They are also holding us accountable for not meeting the repayment agreement which we were told was invalid and I could not make a payment towards. I'm desperate to figure out what to do!! We want to buy our dream home but can't until this mess is cleared up. I can see us losing this house as I sit here...

I can't prove it so it is merely my opinion but I think what they are doing now is trying to say they haven't received payment so they can collect a late fee off of people. I called them and asked to have a Manager call me back yesterday. So far no return call. I plan to report them to RESPA and to the Attorney General's office in Florida. We are afraid that if we pay what is due they will still foreclose like they have done to others. they used excuses i.e. they didn't receive the payment etc. They are none for not wanting to work out a plan to help people stay in there home except for a repayment plan which we cannot afford. We received a certified letter that we have to reinstate our mortgage by December 20, 2008 or the foreclosure will resume.

We have lost our home thanks to Everhome's not wanting to work with you, wont let you speak to a supervisor. Now three weeks before Christmas my family is having to find somewhere to live. I realy don't know what to do or where we will go. Everhome is the worst company to deal with. Very unprofesstional and not willing to work with you. In these hard times, they don't have any compassion.

previously had two years of trouble with insurance not being paid. now two years in a row of them not having my tax information (SSN is all over the paperwork) made 8 months of payments without a payment book plus have been short coupons on previous years also. they can play games with you and all responsibility falls on you not them.

I went to pay my mortgage as I always do on the web site, It had changed a bit not a great deal. I put in my info and hit submit it came back at error cannot process try again after 5 p.m. I did this and it took my payment. The problem is that it apparently also took my 1st payment. This caused me to overdraft on my bank account by $581.00 which I am in the hole now. I called the mortgage company who informed me that I would have to fax the paperwork to the research department. I did this the very next morning. I called and they say it is at the research department. They told my husband and resolution in 11 days they tell me 5 days Ha Ha. I called yesterday and they told me that they have up to 30 days to respond. I am at my wits end with them. I talked to a young lady on the phone and ask her to make sure that the conversation was recorded I ask her why it takes them 30 days to resolve the issue when it only took them one day to completely put me in a financial downfall again she repeated that they have up to 30 days to respond. Where do I go from here and can I get my overdraft fees back. HELP This is the first time I have ever had to deal with customer service so in that light everthing has ran smoothly up to this point. I wish they would step up to the plate and take responsibility

All of our problems started when our mortage was sold to everhome from amtrust bank. We didn't even know it was sold till 2 months later. we are currently being prorated because of indiana's taxes were late and we didn't get any of our credits because we bought our house after 3/07. so we paid the difference and they said our mortage payment would go back to the orginal price WRONG i'm paying $100.00 more now because of the taxes if you can find out the actual amount of taxes next year and not a estimate them they will lower the amount. Impossible says the county for the actual taxes now!! I loved to know where's my extra $100.00 really going? Everytime i call they all say a different story what the hell someone has to know what's really going on. I just think it's crappy that afer paying 2,000.00 up front for the extra, cause of taxes now I'm prorated till next year hello i don't have the extra you already got it!!!! This company needs lots of help cause all they want is money money for some crazy reasons

I have had no problems with Everhome. When our loan was sold, our escrow was short due to our taxes increasing severely. We simply paid the amount needed to bring the escrow account to par and that was that. I only wish they could fix my rate because I'm in an arm that will adjust in less than 2 years... ouch.

Everhome has to be one of the most imbecilic corporations known to America. My mortgage was sold to them and I rec'd notice that my home, which was never late for five years, was now in foreclosure and to not send payments. I called them and they said it was a computer error, no problem. Well for the past 18 months, my mortgage, which I pay a day before the due date online, has been late for 18 months, racking a whopping $48 per month in fees. They said that I was behind before they purchased the loan and now I am paying one month in arrears. Also, they added flood insurance on my house that has not had flood insurance in 7 years, nor has it been required. The insurance was in the tune of $1800 and I was never notified. I spoke with a woman today and she had nothing to say but that our 'flood' department would be contacting me. I am calling my atty today to get this resolved, what a sham. How did they ever get my loan to begin with? I miss Wells Fargo.

My home equity line was sold to Everhome. They immediately froze the line so I could not use it any longer. They say the value of my home is no longer enough to support the loan. I asked them what value they had, and where did they get it. They had no answer. Then they referred me to zillow dot com and that site shows my home worth much more than I paid for it. More than when the loan was written. They refuse to re-instate the line and told me that values thruout the midwest have dropped. They basically red lined this whole area, without checking my credit or my individual home value to loan ratio. I wish I could just pay them the balance and get out. I am working on that now. This seems illegal.

Everhome is the WORST company to deal with. You NEVER can talk to the same person and they are stupid. They know NOTHING about Chapter 13 cases, and we are looking into a lawyer to help us with a case against them for all they have put us through. We have decided to try and build another house just so we can get rid of them they are that bad. They just kept us from getting a loan saying we are behind in our chapter 13 payments and we are not behind it has been discharged since JUNE 1008. STUPID MORTGAGE COMPANY SHOULDN'T BE IN BUSINESS. If I worked there and saw all these complaints against them I would quit, of course they probably don't have them as a mortgage company

OMG. I am so glad to know I am not alone. I thought I had been negligent or just didn't understand how all of this mortgage/escrow/insurance stuff works. holy cow! most of the writers below are complaining of $200-$300 errors..one payment lost or mis-applied.. oh no! these incompetent morons have somehow screwed my escrow up so badly that they want $4000.00 to get me back to my normal mortgage payment. My monthly mortgage doubled after they placed flood insurance on me for $1350 yearly in june 08 AND Dec. 07. Dec. 07 was for insurance for 12/06 to 12/07!! what the hell?? how can they buy insurance retroactively? Not to mention the fact that I've lived in the same damn place for six years and now that this joke of a company has bought my loan, I now need flood insurance. Now somehow I have to straighten out the $4000.00escrow b.s. (which should not be more than $2500, if the insurance were even legitimate) but now, I somehow have to arrange to get flood insurance to have this crap cancelled but in order to do this, I'll have to get a survey done of my property for a flood plain to be shot. these people have really screwed up my life. I am a single mother, unemployed, living on child support, WAS in the process of trying to go to college to make a life for myself and my children, but thanks to these assholes, i'll probably have to get back in an underpaying job, work 60 hours a week, and sacrifice any family time I may have had, just to keep everything I've worked so hard for. I've busted my ass for the last six years to keep my payments up to date and have done so. I finally got to a point where I thought it was safe to make changes in my life and quit my job and go to school and these bastards come along and screw it all up. I've contacted fannie mae. The customer service at everhome is worthless. I have never had a problem til they bought my account. since then I've had lost payments, lost insurance policies, cancelled insuarance policies due to non payment, no payment books, increased monthly payments (with a fixed rate mortgage). I honestly do not know how the executives at this company can sleep at night. These are the companies that keep people like me in a bad situation and prevent all efforts for bettering my life. They prey on the middle to lower, working class people. I'll be contacting an attorney, the bbb, and whomever else i need to. They will not receive another dime of my money to misplace, misuse, or steal. It's so hard to believe that it seems a company would rather foreclose than work with you.

Mortgage was transfered/sold to Everhome from another company. February I get a notice from my insurance company that my insurance had not been paid from escrow. At the same time, I get a notice from EverHome that my mortage will go from $1100 to $1500 per month courtesy of their insurance they are providing for me for $2500 since my insurace was cancelled. (i paid $500 out of my own pocket to have my insurance reinstated asap) I faxed them the confirmation of new insurance as they asked. I was tolf to STILL PAY the $1500 payment so I would not be shortpaying mortgage and have it be reported against me. It would be corrected on the next statement. April payment comes, still $1500. I pay it like an idiot thikning it is going to be corrected and there must be a slight delay. Their customer service says yes, pay in full or you will be reported as late on your mortgage. I got another statement for May and it is still $1500 and I am pissed. I call and they say they have to perform an escrow evaluation to have this corrected, they will note this on my file. Still pay the $1500 though or you are late! I just got another bill for $1500. They were out today, July 3rd for the holiday, and not able to answer the phone. I am stuck! The only phone numbers I can find take me to their terrible customer service! I left a message at home for one of their executives, Alice Gronert, and will see if I get a call back. I found her number on anywho.com and it dumps straight to voicemail so it is probably a decoy phone number. Seriously, I am having a very difficult time from getting out of this and I can find no contacts to help me at Everhome. They stink and will be hearing from my lawyer Monday. Contact me if you have similar stories. I am getting something done about this. andrewbmwm@yahoo.com

They have not worked with me since they bought my loan from the previous company. I was late in my payment the first month b/c I did not know (or at least had forgotten) that my loan had been amortized and increased in value. So they sent back my initial payment, unbeknowdst to me, which made my payment late and then I needed to add on more money. It was ridiculous but that is how the company has been. They will not work with you. It is either all or nothing which makes no sense and will drag them down in the end. How do they survive on this bullying technique.

Here is information from one letter that was sent to Everhome- Matter is still not cleared up= Company has sent replies, but with no answers- They state that I am a month behind and still owe them all these past due fees- A couple of the fees they state that I owe are from 2004? Never was I informed until year 2008? This company is completely worthless- There is absolutely no communication going on inside this company- Very poor customer service- I have been yelled at for Everhome loosing my payment - now how is that right- Would like to refinance, but they have screwed my credit so badly I am unable to. For September 2007 your records state payment was applied on a late fee was assessed on 99/17/2007 but no payment was ever applied. Payment was sent from my bank account on 08/22/2007 in the amount of $700.00. For October 2007 your records state payment was applied on 11/14/2007 and then a partial payment on 11/16/2007 a partial payment. Payment was sent from my account on 10/01/2007 in the amount of $964.84. For November 2007 your records state payment was applied on 11/14/2007, Partial payment was applied on 11/16/2007, another payment applied on 11/30/2007. Payment was sent from my account on 10/30/2007 in the amount of 946.84. For December 2007 your records state payment was applied on 12/05/07 and payment applied was applied on 12/31/2007. Payment was sent from my account on 11/27/2008 in the amount of 964.84. For January 2008 your records state payment was applied on 1/2/2008 and on 1/18/2008 payment was sent from my account on 12/27/2008 in the amount of 12/27/2008. For February 2008 your records state payment was applied on 2/08/2008 and 2/11/2008 payment was sent from my account on 1/31/2008 in the amount of 600.00. For March 2008 your records there are no payments applied, payment was sent from my account on 03/06/2008 in the amount of 695.00. In February 2008 my payment should have be for 964.84, but I sent it for 600.00 owing Everhome 364.84. In March my payment should have been for 690.53 leaving a balance of 360.37. I will be forwarding all the following documentation: • My bank statements showing the payments from my account. • Letters from Everhome Mortgage stating my payment plan. • Letters from Everhome Mortgage stating the loss of payments and misplacing of money. Due to this unfortunate mishap, my credit reports, from the 3 major credit bureaus, Trans union, Equifax and Experian report numerous 30 day 60 day late payments, which were indeed agreed upon as stated in Everhome Mortgages documentation. All payments were made upon agreement and should be reported in such a way. I expect for this to be handle immediately and in writing. I don’t want no more phone calls from some idiot in your office that doesn’t understand or have enough knowledge of this situation. Kathryn pacific, Missouri

seeing a financial hardship on the horizon, i called everhome mortgage to see if they would work with me for two months to see if i could get my payments for those two months pushed back to the end of my loan as my payments were being deducted biweekly from my checking account and applied to my loan. they weren't willing to accept this and said the loan had to be 30 days in default before they could even assist me and then i would have to apply for loss mitigation. at the end of 2 months, my payments were being deducted again from my account which was okay with me, however, they applied a payment to the default even though i applied for loss mitigation for the two months. I still have not heard back from the loss mitigations dept as to what kind of arrangements could be made to either cure the default or have fha totally pay for it. The main thing that irks me is that i knew a hardship was coming and that it would be short lived, therefore i was trying to communicate this with my mortgage company before the ship sank and they were totally unwilling to work with me

t the end of this email I have placed the emails of some people at EverHome. I sent a lot of emails, which they also ignore, but lawfully they are evidence. I was left a message not to send emails -- to call, but they never get anything right. They got my mortgage two years ago and have not gone u on my mortage by $140.00. I am at 13% and told them I was laid off and was trying to pay less. I only have 3 yrs to pay. They told me my property taxes went up, which doesn't happen until summer. They said they estimated it then doubled the amount. I talked to MD Tax ofc who said it only went up $220. year; not $140. mo. (which has never happened and it is a small house). I filed complaint with FL BBB and they lied and told them they called me and sent me everything I asked for. They did that only once, when I had a lawyer send info. Keep claiming I owe late fees, esessed late fees, and then won't show me documentation or put anything in writing. They told the BBB that my taxes went up by over $700.00 -- never. In addition to the email addresses I sent, you should send your payments via Western Union (12.90) and then they will have them same day. They are very rude. I was hung up on when I asked about this escrow and don't feel ti is legal and don't want to pay it. My loan is fixed rate, insurance $993, taxes 2,200.00 but they want me to pay $368 in escrow! No explanation or amortization or explanation of when I get my money back, interest rate, or anything -- especially documentation from the MD tax office that they base this increase on. It has been a hellish two years and I was not told that they would have my loan. Even if they tell you not to send payments, send them via Western Union to save your home. Send them emails requesting everything you need and asking for it in writing. They ignored me since last fall, and I just got the info when I called BBB. RESPA didn't help either, they ignored that. The only thing I get from them is notice that I owe them late fees, which I usually include. My payment last year was $937.81; this year they stuck me with $1078. -- no explanation. I'm very made. What can I do? I do send them emails though, since they ignore phone messages and letters.

They told me my last month payment was late even when it was sent early they went by the date the got in their hands which was two weeks later. Now they said this month payment they haven't received yet but it shows that it was received at their post office but they haven't gotten it yet and the money is still in my account. They sent me a letter stating that I am 30 days in default. I am writing to the Attorney General and any body else I can think of because this is not right. Some thing must be done aout this deliberate sabotaging of hard working descent people credits rating and their reputation. I have a home equity line of credit with Everhome and have been fighting with them for five months. I was late paying my taxes and they not only took money from my account to pay for the late taxes, they added moneys for the taxes for the next year, which weren't late. When I payed off the escrow (having to go through everhome's line of credit to do so, of course), they made me jump through hoops to remove the automatic escrow they set up. I was told by someone in customer service NOT to pay the escrow in December and January, that it was being handled. After five months of calls trying to straighten this out, because I was still getting collections calls from another department, I finally received a letter from them saying they were happy to inform me that the whole thing was corrected and that they were sending me a refund check for monies erroneously applied to the current escrow account. The day I got the check, I also received a pink slip saying I was late on a payment, which I HAVE NEVER BEEN. I called, was told to ignore the slip. TWO WEEKS later, I received a letter from them saying that they reviewed my credit report and since there was a change in my credit standing, they were stripping me of my line of credit, RETROACTIVE to two days before I received the letter. I had to get the credit report, found, of course, that the strikes on it were from EVERHOME, during the months of December and January, when I was told NOT to pay the escrow (but I HAD payed the minimum monthly payment on time). Was told to fax the credit report, I called three times in the next two weeks to see if they received the fax. OH NO we don't get that information for 24/48 hours, try later - then they told me it might take 20 days. Then another person told me they likely never received the fax, to resend. Took them ONE WEEK to acknowledge receipt of this last fax of their error. So now I am patiently waiting 20 more days while my credit is trashed thanks to the incredible ineptitude of Everhome. This CAN'T be legal. I have to say that no one has ever been rude to me and one person in particular went out of her way to work on this for me but their system and management is horrendous. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

When my loan was sold to Everhome (didn't get a notice till months later), I didn'thave any new coupon book and was told to use the old ones and they would be forwared to the right address. Well that was a lie. The told me because I sent them to an old address that they are charging me late fees. That's where it all began. There were MANY months where they swore that they didn't receive my payment in time and wouldn't let me do it over the phone. Even though I sent it 2-3 weeks ahead of time. Consequentely, that put me in default and the charges started racking up. It's been a downward spiral ever since. Now my home is in foreclosure. God willing, if I'm able to ever buy a house again, I will be much smarter about the process.

Have had Everhome since November of 2006 when we were sold in the middle of Chapter 13. They are the worst company to deal with. Until I found this site I thought I was just being mean about them, now I find out there are A LOT of people out there like me who have a hard time dealing with them. They keep trying to take our home because they keep saying we are 8 payments behind but those are the bankruptcy payments and those are seperate from the actual mortgage. According to our bankruptcy lawyer we only owe them $795.00 and then we are out of bankruptcy. But these idiots keep taking our payments (reg monthly ones) and applying them to our bankruptcy payments which would have paid our bankruptcy off in about 6 months not 3 years. When the bankruptcy trustee send them a payment each month they hold on to it because they are waiting until they get enough money to make a full payment which they can not do. I have contacted their lawyer in Indianapolis and he is completely confused at what his clients are doing they won't even cooperate with them. This is the worst company to deal with. They shouldn't be able to practice banking or whatever it is that they do. People are so rude and do not know what the hell they are talking about either. Want to pay off our bankruptcy so that we might be able to refinance and get away from these people but we are afraid to pay it off because then we aren't protected under the bankruptcy till these idiots get our account straightened out. IDIOTS IDIOTS IDIOTS

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. We fell behind on our mortgage and could never get any type of repayment plan, finally my husband was able to get through to a supervisor (miracle) and she was actually very helpful and was able to get us into the loss mitigation department, that was 2 weeks ago, and as you can imagine we are still in the loss mitigation department. I have given our financials at least 4 different times to of course, 4 different people, I finally got a call back from the representative that is working on our loan, I talked with her once and then called her back 2 days later to check the status, she basically told me that if I and other customers would quit calling or as I understood it "bugging" her she would be able to work out the number.....UNBELIEVABLE!

Apparently, I just had my mortgage sold to these people. My first indication of this was the harassment phone call I received today. Not a pleasant conversation, not a nice person. My mortgage payment has always been auto-withdrawn from my bank (i.e. "on time"), and after this call, I looked, and the payment had been withdrawn by the previous mortgage company, just as always. I would think that they would at least properly notify me (certified letter?) before doing such a thing as harassing me like this so I can straighten it out. Beyond that, maybe coordinate with the previous mortgage company about the funds that they have. The check has been cashed. That "initial" call has led me to the decision to refinance with another company (my bank keeps asking me to because they know I'm a good customer). Isn't that is the key word here? "customer?" Everhomes does not deserve my business. One question: Are there mortgage companies out there who I can REMAIN their customer and not have it sold to these types of unscrupulous entities? My mortgage has been sold 3 or 4 times out of the 7 years I have owned this house. I would like to feel like a "customer" again.

After reading the above I now know that I have a real fight on my hands. Everhome bought my loan from Ohio Savings a year ago. Now I have learned they have paid my taxes late resulting in 170.34 in late charges that they are charging me for; as well as a supposed escrow shortage of 287.14 they state was an original mistake in the original banks "ohio savings' math. They do not give monthly statements as to where your money is being applied either. I have sent the letter they sent to me as well as other documents not only to their research department but to the state attorney generals office for Georgia and the state banking commissioners office for Georgia as well. If I have to I will send them to the federal level as well as the same offices for all the other states they do business in.

I called them and they had no information. I then called EverHome again and they said that it was a mistake that a partial payment had been made (because too much was transfered.) I then had no problems for a month or two. I then received a letter stating my 11/07 payment had not been paid-IT HAD!!! I had to send copies of my processed check to the "research dept". I still have not received documentation that this has been taken care of. I also got behind in my payments they would not even talk to me about it! I was again referred to 1st American and no one answers the phone! I have left many messages. I complained to EverHome and was told they would send hardship paperwork. I did not receive and called again and was told they don't do that! They will only take whole payments and not make any arrangements. The next day I did receive hardship papers and completed and also sent my financial records. I called two weeks later and was told that these forms should not have been sent to me, but it "wasn't a mistake" and "it's not our fault you got behind" After speaking with a supervisor I still have no answers!!! It has been pure hell since my Ohio Savings sold my loan to Everhome Mortgage Co. I really hope the CEO Robert M. Clemens(Everbank) reads some of these comments and really thinks about peoples lives that are being torn apart. We are all in some really rough times and everyone needs help at some point. In my situation...I want to convert my chp 13 to 7, but I cannot even reach a real person in the Loss Mitigation dept. to see if Everhome will even work with us to come up with a loan modification. This company really needs to be revised or shut down! From these comments that I have read today, I think we are better of with 13 just to keep our home. Everhome is sneaky and underhanded! I am starting to think that if I when 7 Everhome will stab me in the back. Today I spoke with one of many of there csr named Mrs. Brown who said yes Everhome will work with you. I got behind on my payments due to serious issues and offered them what I had with a letter explaining. They refused it all or nothing. They tagged on lawyer fees, interest, late charges. I come home and there is a note posted on my house from Regional Trustee Services with there fines and fees along with the other amounts saying I have to pay ALL asap because the house is in foreclosure and ready to be auctioned off.I called the American Housing Authority and paid them the money everhome refused. I then recieved a work out plan from Newsome that I could not afford. I contacted the American Housing Authority and let them know and I got a call back on my answering machine from Angel G. and said we have closed your account, He suggested that I Everhome myself and talk with them asap. In American Housing Agreement it says that closing of my account with them has to be in writing. So I called them back but recieved no response from them either.I have called Everhome many times - get a different person each time tell them what is going on, they try Newsomes phone and say they get the answering machine as well. They they say for me to leave a voice msg on her phone and they will e-mail her as well and her boss and I will be getting a call back from her or her boss within a few hours. NOTHING now my home is going to go up for auction and they still have not contacted me.I am a single parent, kids in the home and NO WHERE TO GO. I WANT THIS HOME AND NO ONE WILL WORK WITH ME ON IT. By this company doing this to myself and others, they are throwing people into the streets and breaking up homes. It seems they would want to work with people to save there homes instead of what they are doing. It is shameful. I have read the other comments and I have to agree that if Everhome can not do there jobs correctly, why should we all have to pay very dearly and loose everything we have worked for and have to pay extra fees. It seems that since the housing market has dropped considerably that they would want to work with the home buyers and keep them in there homes. IT IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE AND SHOULD BE STOPPED SOMEHOW. Perhaps the National Hot line can help some of us. Write to congress, Senators, Some one should be able to help. If there is anyone that can help myself and these other people it would be greatly appreciated.

My nightmare became when my previous mortgage company sold my loan to Everhome. They paid my tax late, and they did not pay full amount of penalty; I made extra payments for the principal(I wrote big “principal” on the check), but they put them in the escrow; The escrow refund was sent out late… I have to call them again and again, and the customer service is terrible, really terrible. They told me my tax was all settled, no need to worry, but I called the city, the penalty was not paid in full. I asked how I can pay the extra payment for the principal without mistake, they said machine handles the check and it treats it as a regular payment. So basically I have no way to do it… I hope their CEO, Chairman or whoever responsible will read all these complaints and do something. How can I get out of this company? I can refinance, but what if they buy my loan again?

Everhome's customer service is horrible. I have had problems with a late fee that was not my error and was finally fixed after 6 mos and now without notice I have to pay almost an extra 150.00 for as escrow shortage. I would not have been aware of this if i had not just happened to look online. My new coupon book actually showed a payment that is less than what i have been paying for the last year. Thank God i looked online or I would never have known about this and would have been late on my payment. Terrible customer service. Extremely unhappy with them.

by Katrina From Verona, PA on November 20, 2007
Their idea of customer service is pathetic. They wanted me to pay my entire escrow underage in one payment. Even though I called and told them the additional monies would present a hardship. I have had mortgages over the years, and they by far are the worst. I have always been able to spread any shortages over the life of the loan. They flat out refused to do this even though they could not state if it was a requirement by law. They told me that if I didn't make the one time balloon payment, they would take all of the extra money I had paid on the principal and take it to cover the shortage. I was furious. They had no right to use my money as they see fit. I did give them an earful about harassing people who do keep up with their payments and even pay a little extra. I guess they just have an across the board policy on treating everyone poorly.

Our mortgage was sold to Everhome in sept of 06, we have had nothing but problems, they attempted to foreclose on our house and we were not behind, when it was time for court our lawyer showed up with their internet electronic payment statement, to prove that we are not 4 months behind and have not even been late. They have since taking my internet access away. The only punishment they received was that they had to pay my lawyer fees. We have numerous late fees, no matter when we send the payment out, it takes three weeks to receive and cash a check from NY. The customer service was so kind and told me to mail my payment out earlier, so if your payment is do between the 1-16 you must mail your payment in on the prior month on the 16 to have it cash by the following due date. They are awful, and there has to be something we all can do. I would love to know how many people have late fees that should not have them. I am now sending my payment using UPS, they also told me that I could pay over the phone for 17.50 a shot. They think they have you so they are taking advantage of people with lesser credit.

Like most, Everhome "bought" my mortgage. Since day one they have been nothing but bad. Now they want my home. I hope to God they will work with us to save it.

EVERHOME IS THE WORST!!! Our loan was sold to Everhome and we were behind one payment, now due to them not accepting the one payment we have spiraled into being 4 payments behind and have been consistantly told they cant help us and there is not a "work out" plan for us. They refuse to let us speak to a Supervisor or Mitigation Dept. when we call. We are loosing our home and we were never given the opportunity to work it out. They have treated us like CRIMINALS!!!! I am in complete despair and dont know where my family will be in a month??!!

I appreciate the fact that Everhome offered me the best competitive rate on a jumbo loan. However, I quickly wished I had picked another company. Their loan documents were horrendous. The loan processors did not give full information and treated us as near criminals for not submitting all paperwork correctly. I have had previous mortgages and home equity loans with PFCU, Signet, and USAA so I know what is expected. The paperwork from my previous loans was hard but the banks helped and the process went smoothly on time. With Everhome the process was very hard and slow. Why is Everhome so weak on customer service while others are so helpful?

we got behind on and they wanted more than triple the amount to catch for 6 months. CRAZY..if we cant pay the first amount why triple it?? 2 months behind and got a letter from a lawyers office.

Everhome is very unprofessional & they lack customer service skills & knowledge. We were on a repayment plan that was so high we could not keep up now. Information is inconsistent. Only God will& can change this for us.

Hate Everhome mortgage. My previous mortgage company sold my loan to Everhome and it's been a nightmare.Payments not applied correctly, get a different story with each call to customer service, telling me loan payments applied to past due payments when my loan is current. Horrible customer service, rude people, I'm keeping a log on calls to them. Suggest you get everything in writing.

Our mortgage was sold to Everhome from Opteum Financial. At that we were already behind on our payment. We called Everhome and they told us to send our regular payment in with the correspondence they sent us and everything would be ok. We did that but our home is still going into forclosure.

when I fell behind in my payments Everhome was willing to work with me but the modification/payment plan was extremely high I accepted the terms in order not to loose my home but I found that I could not keep up had another modification that was higher than the first this has become so over whelming. I have fallen behind again and now I am in jeopardy of loosing everything that I have worked so hard to keep.

Our original mortgage company was sold to Everhome. Received notice of this activity but never received paperwork or payment info till 2 or 3 months later. They wouldn't accept payments as they couldn't "locate" our customer info immediately. Then made demands for payment or threatened with foreclosure.

We have been told so many different stories. Our loan was sold on December 31st from Irwin Mortgage. We have tried to make payments and was told no three months ago and called every other week since then. Still, no call from a Mrs. Chapman. Numerous messages have been left, no trace of paper work we filled out and sent in months ago. This is our home and we have had so many serious issues to deal with, the last thing we need is to loose our home.

Unresponsive to attempts to contact re: reappraisal for removal of PMI. Accepts only FAXED inquiries. Cust. Service tells me that each response will take "30 days" to be processed. Several contacts have been "lost". This has cost me months of overpaid PMI.
