Many years ago when I re-mortgaged with them, it was set up for them to debit my checking account every month , they stopped without notice then started sending me late payment notices with late charges included. I Filed for chapter 13 and then papers were filed with the court informing the court I had not paid for 2 consecutive months, which was not true and I have Bank statements to prove I was to date after filing chapter 13

I have tried to explain to Charter One Bank, that since securing my Home Equity Loan and Mortgage, I have been permanently disabled, divorced(my ex-husband was co-owner), filed for bankrupty(but reaffirmed my debt to them); but they still will not allow me to refinance my home equity loan, or modify my existing home equity loan.

The mortgage company is actually Charter Bank. I made 3 payments to them after I had to move to Texas to became employed once again and was attempting to pay at least one payment once a month, but then the bank threatened me with bringing it current by 032208 or they were going to foreclose. I was unable to bring it current.
