Is it better to let my house go?
We tried several times to get a loan modification with Indymac and even submitted a complaint to the Office of Thrift Supervision. They made a determination that it was more costly to help us remodify our loan than to let our house go on foreclosure. I don't understand this, it does not make sense.

How do I write a Hardship Letter?
Indymac already started the foreclosure process and I want to stop foreclosure. What I really need right away is help writing a hardship letter.

Indy Mac denied my loan modification
We hired a foreclosure company in CA to work with Indy Mac Mortgage Services to secure us a loan modification. Indy Mac has denied the modification and have placed our home in foreclosure. Can this be stopped? We don't have $25,000 to pay them.

I think the federal government should step in and help me pay my mortgage
My husband got laid off in 2008 and has had a hard time finding something steady/full time. That is why we are behind on payments. We have 3 kids and we do NOT want to lose this house.

Indy Mac approved my Loan Modification and lowered my payments by only $20/month.
I have tried to work loan modification with Indy Mac, they only lower pmt by $20.00/month. Only choice is deed-in-lieu or bankruptcy giving house back in bankruptcy. I would like to do the deed-in-lieu if possible.

Please help me, help them take my home
I want to give he house in Napa Valley, California back to the bank and not foreclose. I do not want my credit to be ruined, but I cannot sell my house now and haven't been able to though it has been listed for nearly a year.
Hope Now will not help... what good are they?
My home is currently in the beginning stages of foreclosure but no sale date has been set yet. I have already spoken with a bankruptcy attorney but truthfully cannot afford to file chapter 13. This would add $500/month to my already out of reach mortgage payment of $2357.

My payments went up $54 a month... I didi not authorize that
Indymac gave me until April 10, 2008 to come up with $836 dollars. I will be making $400 April 4th toward this balance. But will not be able to make the remaining payment until April 18th.

On a short sale, what can I expect them to take to allow me to sell the house?
We live in Oklahoma. Our mobile home is in Michigan. We have tried to sell it, but can no longer keep paying for the lot rent, insurance, up-keep of the lawn, and the mortgage payment for a second home that is vacant. We have been offered $8,000 on a loan of $27,000.

We have waited and waited for them to help us with the foreclosure, now what?
We have filed for hardship with our mortgage company in hopes to get a repayment plan or loan modification. We waited over 3 months to hear anything, and today we received certified letters of their intent to foreclose. We are desperate to keep our home.
