Is it too much to ask to lower our paynents to something we can afford
We are retired and have a 14 year old son. We get SS for the three of us and adoption subsidy for our son. We refinanced last Aug. and because of financial circumstances with an adult sons car accident we got behind.

How do I negotiate with GMAC
I filed bankruptcy (chapter 7) last year. Currently My wife and trustee own the house. We are selling the house. however we got very low offer from buyer. My wife did not agree to sell the house. Now she wants to keep it. To do this.

Should I file bankruptcy to save my home... will it save my home from foreclosure?
I lost my job, after 12 years, having medical problems. I have yet to be able to claim unemployment benefits, and to the advice of my cardiologist, have filed for disability. My monthly house payment is $690, with a fixed interest rate of 5.75%.

My 2nd says they are going to foreclose, what laws to they have to abide by?
My first mortgage isn't really the issue. It is my 2nd one that has made my credit a mess. Before this I had excellent credit. The house is up for sale but the 2nd mortgage company is threating foreclosure and auction.

I want to sell the home to avoid foreclosure and GMAC will not let me
I am willing to sell the home and I have a buyer, however, the company denied a request to hold off the foreclosure stating they are not willing to take that risk in accumulating more legal fees. They said the only option is to reinstate the loan.

Lost job has caused me to get behind on my mortgage with GMAC
I lost my job and it has caused extreme financial issues. We need help! If we lose our house we may lose my step son. We received a letter dated 1/2/08 saying we had to pay in full by 2/2/08 they will foreclose. We can make the payment in full by the end of feb or beginning of march.

Take care of my parents or pay my mortgage... that is the question
I had to relocate to care for elderly parents. Level of care needed prevented me from obtaining work immediately. I depleted my savings & unable to make house payment.

This house has to go... we just don't want a foreclosure on our records
The house has been for sale for a year and a half, the ARM recently adjusted up $300.00, my wife and I are getting a divorce and neither one of us can afford the house alone and we do we want to remain in the house!

I had a phantom offer to avoid the foreclosure
I was working w/an agent up until 2mos ago. Her daughter passed away and she has been unreachable. The last time I spoke to her she told me that an investor had made an offer on my house and that she had faxed it over. I haven't heard anything since then.

I am tryinfg to rent the house to save it from foreclosure
I have made several contacts and even a rental agreement for a tenant to take over the property....no response from GMAC...I am attempting to save this property. They don't seem to be willing to work with me. I have submit all financial information as well as renter lease signed. no response.
