What happens to a Renter during and after foreclosure?
I am a lodger with a rental agreement with the owner of a house in Palm Desert, CA. I rent a room in back with access to the inside kitchen and bathroom. I am a single dad on public assistance with my two children.

Centennial Celebration
Our church congregation is getting ready to celebrate one hundred years. Our slogan is "Remembering the Past, Imagining the Future". Coincidentally, the State of Oklahoma is also celebrating 100 years of statehood. So, everyone around here is pretty much involved in some sort of celebration.

You and Your Credit
If you are a legal American citizen, you have many numbers that identify you...your social security number, your birthdate, your driver's license number, your address, your telephone number. Actually, the list could go on and on. But, one little 3-digit number holds your future in it's hand.

Getting out of Quicksand
Just the title brings up so many thoughts. I used to love to watch "Gilligan's Island". That poor guy always managed to stumble onto a patch of quicksand somewhere on the island. I remember when all the crew found was his little sailor's cap floating in the mire and they assumed him dead.

Frugality Isn't Always Fun
Being frugal comes naturally for me. I don't prefer the title "cheapskate" or "tightwad" but frugal makes me feel kinda special. I can do amazing things with a modest budget. Leftovers are my specialty.
Making the Big Bucks at Home
I heard on the radio the other day that I just got a raise! I was so excited. The report stated that stay-at-home moms have earned a 3% raise over last years earning, which for me was a new pair of Nike's.

Banks Can Be Just a Riddle
It's raining and pouring here in the midwest. We've been looking at storm clouds for days and days. From Kansas City down to Oklahoma city, we're seeing pictures of flooding and damage from the long, hard rains.
