How long is the foreclosure process in Texas?
I got a letter from Litton warning of possible foreclosure action, when I called they already referred the case to their lawyers. I called their law office and they asked me to fax a request for reinstatement with an answer expected this Monday. I don't know the Foreclosure Laws.

Who is Cenlar?
My loan was moved from Taylor Bean & Whitaker to Cenlar. I don't know anything about them. I sure hope they are better than TBW. I was trying to get a forbearance, loan modification, or some other repayment plan so I can avoid foreclosure. I don't want to do a bankruptcy and ruin my credit.

President signs The Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007 into Law
What is the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act... simply put, you will not have to report personal income for the debt that was forgiven in the case of a foreclosure or short sale. This will alleviate the notion of "Kicking a person when they are down" mentality.
