Can I delay the foreclosure date?
I have two weeks before the sheriffs sale to come up with the money but I will not have it until one month. I am hoping sooner but it is not in my hands. Can I delay the foreclosure date?

My mortgage company won't help me
We purchased a townhouse in 2003. Our daughter was born in 2005, which made us soon realize we needed a house, not a townhome. In 2006, we purchased a house, which we remodeled. We intended to move in to the house and sell the townhouse only to be hit with a bad market.

Bank of America bought my loan from Countrywide
My Mortgage was bought by Bank of america from Countrywide home loans. Now they say I am 5 months behind and am sure they are working to foreclose. UGH! My friend thinks I should just walk away but not after living here 22 years and not for $8700 debt.

I lost my husband and soon it will be my home also
My husband passed away 7/23/07 and I only had a part time job. I made the payment on time for over a year but it was a struggle. I called Countrywide to see if they could modify my loan. They told me they would send me an offer by mail in @ 30 days and to not send in the payment.

Bankruptcy may have stopped the foreclosure but I still can't afford the home
We have already filed bk in 2008 & was confirmed but still cannot afford the price of our home. Countrywide states we qualify for the national home retention program however they have made this process very long...we applied on 10/09/2008 and have yet to work out a plan.

What advice can you give for someone who is going through a divorce and foreclosure?
I am currently going through a divorce and we are looking for some advice on the what are our choices when it comes to foreclosure. The house has been on the market for approx. 12mths and is still on the market. Our funds will run out in about 3 months.

What will Obamas foreclosure plan do for me and the foreclosure I am facing
We are currently in the middle of a short sale but no one wants to buy. We have a fixed rate mortgage but it went up $200 in september. My husband lost his job last year but did get a new job. This made us fall behind and our lender was not working with us to try to help us at all.

Tenure may keep my job but not my home
I'm a tenured teacher who is going through a break up, this has left me with half the income but all of the bills. Also the second job I was at making an additional 2500 dollars a month isn't available due to the economy.

Countrywide says that they have no programs to help us get cought up on our loan, can that be true?
We had huge debt ($30,000) from when my wife was layed off from her job 8 years ago and began working with a credit counselor to make payments on that debt (now down to under $6000)...
