Bankruptcty to stop my foreclosure did not work, any advice
My husband and I filed for bankruptcy in order to save our house. The bank that had our mortgage continued to proceed with the proceedings. I hate to think about it being to late to do anything, I have stressed to where it has affected my health in a bad way.

Should I file bankruptcy to save my home... will it save my home from foreclosure?
I lost my job, after 12 years, having medical problems. I have yet to be able to claim unemployment benefits, and to the advice of my cardiologist, have filed for disability. My monthly house payment is $690, with a fixed interest rate of 5.75%.

Bankruptcy did not stop my foreclosure
I filed a chapter 13 but i had it dismissed due to the fact i couldn't afford those payments plus the first and second mortgages.

Bankruptcy did not help me
I filed bankrupt in June 2007, thought payment plan was going as agreed -- until I received court notice from mortgage company (re: October 24 - hearing to be relieved).

I have tried to work with them, what else can I do?
Many people contact us completely frustrated with their mortgage company and make some a decision to file bankruptcy. Bankruptcy will help come home owners get back on track but as a whole it usually fails. We always council home owners to only file bankruptcy if that is there only option.

A Bankruptcy may not stop the sale.
Did you know that a Bankruptcy may not postpone the Foreclosure? Your Mortgage Company can petition the court to remove the automatic stay and allow the foreclosure to continue. This is what is happening to this prospective client.

If I file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy can I still keep my house?
If you file Bankruptcy there are some things you need to know. 1. If you file chapter 7 and want to keep the house you need to re-affirm the house with your Mortgage Company. 2. If you file Chapter 13 you need to maintain your normal house payment in addition to the Bankruptcy payment.
