Ocwen told me to miss payments

February 04, 2011

My loan was sold to Ocwen from Saxon Mortgage in November 2009. I was not behind on my payments until then. The new company has a different pay on date and I am paid once per month on the 15th. That makes all my payments late and I incur late fees every month that compound monthly. Ocwen is not willing to work with me on the due date and the loan modification department has asked me to send numerous pay stubs and forms by fax. I never hear any results and when I call they continually put me off or ask for more pay stubs. They are operating from a calling center in India. I had two different representatives to tell me not to make my payments during the loan modification process and that has gotten me even further behind. I know they are scamming to get possession of my home. I have just today doubled up on my monthly payment and now am 1 month late with $559.62 worth of late fees and charges. HELP!!

mmmm,,i caled ocwen once and ask for delayed payment. they told me to miss it also so they could restructure. i actually said no,,just late, thats all. a guy assured me and talked me into missing the payment so he could restructure to a lower rate and payment, of course a year later i lost the house without even a phone call back or any mail thru us poatal service. i even called florida office and when i could get thru , people said they would call me back and no one ever did. ocwen ruined my life and years of work and credit history.

I originally had Novastar, they switched to Saxon, and now to Ocwen. What a scam. I paid my mortgage online today and noticed that my LOAN WAS CHANGED FROM 30 YEARS TO 40 YEARS. Can they do that? I also noticed that my interest rate is double than what it was originally.

I truly believe that Ocwen in mainly in the business of foreclosures. When my loan was sold to Ocwen, my monthly payments (including my escrow was $1,110). Now that Ocwen has taken over, my monthly payments are !,273.00. None of the "Peggys" in India have been able to give me any logical information about this. I have even gone to the HUD representative in my city, Chattanooga, TN. to no avail. I was told that my apr with Ocwen was extremely high and that I should go to my bank to see if they will take over my mortgage. I doubt very seriously that the will, since my credit score is only fair. I truly believe that Ocwen is attempting to take my home. Last month (December 2011) I received a notice from Ocwen which stated that I had not made my payment to them for October and that I owed approximately 1.338.00 for that missed payment. This statement was totally false. Luckily, I was able to retrive my band statements for October, November and December. I sent them to Ocwen by Registered mail, but I never received a response. I also sent a copy to my local HUD representative. She too, never responded. It is my opinion that HUD and President Obama need to get off their "best intentions" and do something before the American Dream becomes just that, a dream!

My account to was sold to Ocwen from Saxon. My contract states that my notes are due on the first of each and last charges would not be access until after the 15th of each month.Thats not happen now. I been charged late payments October, November and December. I am paying in the same span that i used with Saxon. On or after the first but before the 15th. Also, I been trying to make a payment on the automated phone system all day (Jan. 14th, 2012) and time they say that the phone number I dailed is not working or they would say that the account I entered was wrong. So if I can't get that payment in today or tomorrow, they forcing me to be late. You can't with alive person on the phone.

I worked for Saxon for a long, long time. I left before Ocwen took over. The only advise I can give you is that they have to honor the terms of your original note just as you do. They cannot change your due date or term without a loan modification. I would refinance to get away from Ocwen if they took over my mortgage. I hate to think what I would do if I couldn't refi to get away from them. My best to you all.
