Does Beneficial do Loan Modification?
August 10, 2010
We fell behind on our payments when my husband's bring home income dropped 25%. Beneficial has told us that they don't do modifications or refinances. Other so called modification companies pretty much told us to spend less on utilities and food. Is it possible to get a loan modification with Beneficial?

I could never imagine that I would ever experience what I have with Beneficial. They are the abosolute worst! Two years ago, my income went down 35%. The did approve a modification for 6 months. Each six month intreval, they redid the modification as my circumstances did not change. They have now changed their "tune". I received a letter today, stating that I have had too many modifications (????) and, I either have to pay a $3,000 mortgage or leave my home. They were heartless and cruel while speaking with me, they actually came through loud and clear that they did not want to help me, they would rather go into foreclosure. When I explained that my home was not worth the amount I owe, and that it would benefit everyone if I kept paying my modified price, they explained they really didn't care. I never thought this would happen and it probably wouldn't if I dealt with a reputable company!
