Loan Modification with Suntrust

July 28, 2010

I received a NOD two months ago. I have gotten the run around and I am at the end of my rope. I pray everyday that God will send me an angel. I need help quickly to avoid losing my house. We had medical bills that has set us back, we are trying to get caught up but not getting anywhere with our mortgage. We want more then anything to stay in our home. I am willing to still pay the entire loan balance of over 695000.00 even thou our house is now worth 400000.00, I just need to get our monthly payments reduced to around 2500.00 a month. We love our home and never want to move. We just need some help at this time. Our taxes have been reassessed at 400000.00 home value. Our original loan balance was 695000.00 with the fees and trying to get out of an adjustable loan Suntrust has added a lot of fees between our 1st and 2nd over 62000.00 to be exact. That makes it almost 757000.00. We never received any money out those are all fees they charged us to lower our payments in 2008. We need help, my goal is to stop foreclosure and do whatever is possible to get our payments at 2500.00 a month. I think it is called loan modification. Please help we are running out of time. I don't know how much more I can take, but I know that God has directed me in the right direction. God Bless.

I have nothing good at all to say about Sun Trust Mortgage. I applied for a loan modification July 2009 because I lost my job. For over a year I had to call weekly and of coarse many of my calls fell on deaf ears. I submitted paperwork monthly and still no results. The primary on this account died and then I was denied because of inconsistencies in the paperwork in July 2010.
I honestly dont know how this bank stays in business their customer service is horrible.

After 14 months of making onetime payments to sun trust they told me today that I never was eligible. I paid during the trial period and sent them my financial information in Jan and July 2010. Due to a recent bonus and pay increase they finally (after 14 months) determined I never was qualified. Now I owe back mortgage and it has had a negative impact on my credit. I feel abused and mistreated, isn't someone watching how these companies are treating those in need?
