Husband lost his overtime
My husband worked 14 years, 7 days a week with overtime and then the overtime was lost and he was no longer getting overtime. We lost $2,000 a month due to this cut of overtime. We tried to do a loan modification and that was to be $1495 a month starting in October of 2009 and this was a trial period. I made the first payment at the end of October, but could not make the November or December payment because they had a 2 week shut down in those moths at the mill that my husband works at. At that time for those two months we only got $1500 in Nov and October and both months combined was almost my house maybe and if i were to of paid it, i would not of had any money for food or my other bills. So the modification was dropped and then in January of 2010 the payment was suppose to go up to around $1750 but from coming away from the low paychecks we received in Nov and December, we were not able to make the $1700 payment so we got behind for January and Feb. of this year. Then they told us just to send in what we could and that there was other options we could look at. I have sent a total of $2500 to them and now they are telling us that any other programs to help up were declined even though they were the ones telling us to keep sending in as much money as we could and that we had options and programs that would help us. Now they say they are not able to help us and wont help us despite the money i have sent in and they are telling us they will foreclose on our house, but we do not want to lose our house. My husband now brings home $1950 every two weeks. We would like to get of course the lowest payments which would include the tax and insurance and i know we wouldn't be able to give more than $1400 a month. thank you for your help and hope to hear from you soon.
