HAMP Loan Modification with Saxon
I was a victim of the sub prime mortgage industry. Purchased my home in 2005 with a monthly payment of $1060.00. ARM went into effect in 2008 - raising payment to $1750 - applied for Loan Modification Program through both Saxon and federal loan modification HAMP program. Received trial modification for three months in June 2009. Paid on time (with proof)- was extended two times. Last extension was issued in November 2009. I did not hear back from Saxon. I continued to call and check on status. I was repeated told to continue making the trial loan modification payment amount even though I hadn't heard back. In March 2010 I received a notice advising that Saxon was going to initiate foreclosure due to non payment. I was astounded. I made all payments as asked, and when I inquired, was told that I missed a payment, which was why I was denied the HAMP loan modification. I have checks that cleared by bank for each payment. I now have to apply for the HAFA short sale program. In the meantime, I do not know how long I have to live in my home and I have no help. I can afford to make monthly payments because I have a job. I make good money and can afford to pay up to $1200.00/month. I tried to email and call several Saxon representatives, mailed letters, etc. to try to refinance, modify, anything to save my home. Don't know what else to do.
