loan modification with American Home Mortgage?

February 28, 2010

It is my understanding that Option One does not exist any longer and they were bought and shut down by American Home Mortgage. I recd a letter to this effect two summers ago, but can not find proof of the death of Option One. Need proof for case. I am fighting to save my home. I can afford my loan and they are offering a forbearance, but I can't afford the payment they are requiring. Is it possible to get a loan modification with American Home Mortgage?

@Richard, good luck with that. We went through it 6 times trying to remodify our mortgage, then guess what happens?!?!? they sold our loan to Saxon Mortgage and now we owe $13,000 for non payments, that we were told not to make! Now we are doing a short sale and American home mortgage some how has ties to our mortgage, and winterized and changed our locks now we are screwed and the company who winterized it stole a lot of expensive things, we were not even in foreclosure we were still moving!

This may sound like a joke, but I have an American Home Mortgage and this company literally got my interest rate reduced to a 2% in less than 2 weeks, with very little paperwork. I think they only work with this Lender. Call them. Good luck!

I AM SUING AHMS FOR MANY THING THAT THEY DID TO ME .AFTER I WAS HIT BY A CAR .I WAS UNABLE TO WORK .I NOW GET SSI.I ASK FOR A LOAN MOD TO HELP ME WITH MY PAYMENTS.IT TOOK THEM 18 MONTHS JUST TO GET ALL OF MY PAPER WORK .HAD TO START OVER 4 TIMES. AFTER THEY STARTED THE PAPER WORK I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO ESCROW MY TAXES. SO WE WENT WITH THAT AND NEW MOD WAS DONE.3 MONTHS AFTER LOAN MOD WAS IN PACE I GOT A BILLING STATEMENT FOR $550 MORE THEN I HAD AGREED TO.WHEN I CALLED TO FIND OUT HOW THIS COULD BE .THEY SAID THAT THEY FORGOT TO AD IN MY ESCROW .NOW MY PAYMENT IS $250 A MONTH HIGHER THEN BEFORE LOAN MOD.AND I CAN NOT PAY IT .AFTER TRYING TO WORK THIS OUT I GOT NOWHERE WITH THEM.I CALLED DICK DURBAN FOR HELP .THEY CALLED AHMS FOR ME .THIS STOP THEM FROM TAKING MY HOME .THEY SAID THEY WOULD FIX THE OVER SIGHT .AND DO A NEW LOAN MOD .WHEN THEY CALLED ME TO START PAPER WORK AGAIN I WAS TOLD THAT I WILL NEED MORE INCOME THEN I GET ON S.S.I .I TOLD THEM THAT I ,AM DISABLED AND DON,T WORK.WAS TOLD THAT IF I DON,T COME UP WITH MORE INCOME THEY WAS GOING TO TAKE MY HOME.I ASK HOW CAN I COME UP WITH MORE INCOME.THEY SAID THAT A FAMILY MEMBER COULD STATE THAT THEY GIVE ME MONEY .I SAID THAT NO ONE HAS ANY MONEY. AHMS SAID THAT THEY ONLY NEED STATEMENT NOT THERE MONEY.I TOLD THEM THAT NO ONE WOULD LIE FOR ME.AGAIN THEY SAID THAT IF I DON,T COME UP WITH MORE INCOME THAT I WAS GOING TO LOSS MY HOME.I SAID TO THEM AT THAT TIME THAT THE ONLY WAY TO GIVE THEM THE STATEMENTS THAT THEY WANT WOULD BE FOR ME TO LIE AND MAKE UP STATEMENT MY SELF.HE SAID THAT HE WOULD BE THE ONLY ONE WHO WOULD BE LOOKING AT MY PAPER WORK.SO I MADE UP 3 STATED INCOME STATEMENTS SIGNED THEM AND SENT THEM TO AHMS .AND THE LOAN MOD WAS DONE.I GET ONLY $675 A MONTH TO LIVE ON AND I HAVE TO GIVE $642 A MONTH TO AHMS.I HAVE LIVED FOR ONE YEAR WITH OUT POWER,WATER, VERY LITTLE FOOD .IT HAS BEEN A HARD YEAR FOR ME .AHMS HAD ME TO THE POINT OF TAKING MY OWN LIFE.NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS KIND OF TORMENT .I AM SUING THEM FOR 1.5 MILL.THEY SAY THAT THEY HAVE DONE NO WRONG.BULL.AND I KNOW NOW THAT I,AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS BEEN DONE WRONG BY AHMS
