Citi Mortgage put me in this

February 16, 2010

I was only $4500 (4 months behind) behind so i applied for a forbearance to raise monthly payments until past-due paid off. I was told I qualified. I have sent everything in they wanted and called regularly to see the progress. But they kept giving me the run around saying it takes time but my house is now up for sale in 45 days. Well I called Monday to see if it was finished, if they were ready for the $1000.00 down payment we agreed to and the women I spoke to told me that this was not going to work and now i owe $9200. I feel they gave me the run around until I owed twice as much. I need help quick. I have half of the money now. I have 3 children and need to get this solved properly and quickly. CAN YOU HELP ME AT ALL, PLEASE PLEASE

They don't care, Citi-Mortgage they're bastards...... we need strict bank regulations to stop them from taking advantage.

I have been working (suffering) with Citimortgage sense Oct. Told that we qualified for the HAMP program. Was put on a 4 mo. trial period that reduced our payment $400.00. I specifically asked if for some reason the Mod. does not go through, what happens to the balance we have not paid monthly. He said you WILL be qualified you meet all points needed, but if not all the money unpaid will be added to the end of your loan, and you go pack to your normal payment. In Dec. I called to make my Mod. payment and was told we were denied, (no one contacted us)and we were now late with our payment. Then they let me talk to loss mitagation, who said they would start the paper work for a standard Mod. BUT, continue to make the modified payment. This is when all the calls started from the collection dept. 3-4 times a day. They keep telling me I owe, right now, today $3800.00. I tell them I'm doing what the Mod. dept. is telling me. The MOd. dept. tells me to ignore them, the collection dept. has no idea how the Mod. dept. works. I still don't know where I'm at in the whole thing, except that my 800 credit score is shot. Why is it the government bails them out, but when we need help no one is there. I have e-mailed the President and the Govenor of Ohio. The last lady I spoke to in loss mitagation told me, she didn't have the extension of the person taking care of the Modification, but not to worry it could take up to another 6 mo. So at that point I'm thinking they will have me down as owing them $11,000. All I wanted to try and do was lower my house payment, because I was laid off, and my husband took a huge paycut when PNC took over NCB (oh, yea wasn't that another government bailout?) If I could go back, I never would have started this, because all I've received from this was stress, and heart ache for doing what I was told. HELP

They are doing the same as you to me and others and getting away with it. Been working with them since October 2009 given same runaround , verbal aggrements, qualified for HAMP got paper work vis UPS on January 15 2010, package dated same, letterhead dated same, went through terms and at step 2, saw that all paperwork must be submitted by 6/3/09, again got this on 1/15/10.!! called told aa manager would get back to me. Who did! Sheriff with foreclosure papers! Have agency and realestate working with me and told I have to give CITI $7,000 and they will honor. Gathered money to get this done and behind me, now told I have to start all over again!!!!
CITI will not accept the money they told needed 2 weeks ago, and I got it!!
meantime foreclosure proceeds, amounts acrue by the time done and if accepted we are out on streets, the we are wife and 2 kids, and by the way daughter 11 downs syndrome fighting leukemia and wife diagnosed in october 2009 with terminal stage 4 brain cancer stage 4 GBM. Wrote and emailed our leader, President Obama, VP Biden, and Mrs. Obama, news agencies, local reps, no help, no answer. He got his health care bill through though! We need foreclosures halted, we need jobs, we need a gov for the people! Our people! They are lettingthese companies do this so just as guilty, bail us out not the ones who are throwing us out!! Our past and present officials have sold us out, and should be hung for treason!!! Noe cares, and help is for those with money to make more money.

I encourage everyone who reads this post the RUN from citimortgage, It has been my experience with citimortgage that the staff is not knowledgeable, and if you happen to speak to a "supervisor" they are even less organized or knowledgeable.
