Loan Modification to stop foreclosure
Two years ago we took in a family who lost their home and had no place to go. With the additional financial responsibility we began to fall behind in our mortgage with Bank of America and other bills. They moved out after one year then I began dealing with some medical issues which caused me to miss a lot of work. Recently our daughter has been sick and I missed even more work and finally lost my job in November. Our house is in foreclosure. My husband is in the military. We heard he could lose his security clearance if we file for bankruptcy which would cause him to lose his job. We are looking for options. Is loan modification a reality to stop foreclosure?
