Denied by EMC

November 11, 2010

I currently have an 80/20 loan. EMC has the 80% and Specialized Loan Services has the 20%. According to EMC my mortgage has been behind from my original payment 23 months. However, my last payment from when my loan modification paper work was submitted was 01/2010. I had contacted EMC to let them know that I was not able to afford the amount due to my boyfriend not working which he is the primary on the loan. So basically it was only one income for a family of 5. EMC informed me that they were not able to lower my payments till they received my modification package. Today they are tell me that I need to put up my home for sale. We are trying to keep our home however they are not giving us second chance in regards to consider that we are trying. According to some other people that I have talked too they are suppose to base the payment 30% of your monthly income and what they asked me to pay was over 30% of my income that is why I was not able to make the payments. Please guide me in what we can do to either keep out home...we have three children and no where to go our credit is poor and there is no way we will be able to purchase another home due to our credit and no down payment available. Please contact me by e-mail or by phone if there is anything program out there that maybe able to help us keep our home. Thank you for your time.
