DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH CHASE IN A LOAN MODIFICATION. I speak from experience. I am going through hell with them right now. Their depts do not speak to each other. I was in it for 4 mos. I am now hit with late fees and one of the months' pay is in a suspension fund that they will not release because they are saying I'm delinquent. I am NOT. I have NEVER been a day late with my mortgage in 10 yrs. But because the morons at Chase haven't a clue, it appears as though I am late because they are not receiving full payments. They received partial payments THAT THEY GAVE ME TO PAY!!!!! It's a totally messed up situation. I spent 2 hours and 20 mins with 7 different departments yesterday. Talk about frustrating. AND there is still no resolution. They have very bad attitudes and work against you. I honestly feel as though I was put in prison for a crime I did not commit and no one will listen. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!

What has changed in your loan that you cannot afford the payment? Did you have an ARM(adjustable rate)? Loan modifications are not working. When the bank does one you can be sure that the terms are more in their favor. Have you considered having someone check your loan for predatory lending? That is really helping many avoid forclosure if they get it done in time.

I stumbled onto this site, because I am trying to get ahold of a number to a live person that actually knows something. One thing that I know for sure: Chase's dept.s DO NOT communicate with each other. Today, I spent 90 minutes on the phone and no one knew anything about all other calls. When Chase was trying to collect money from me, they called me SEVEN days a week and at all hours. They had people calling me that couldn't even speak English.

I have been in two Loan Modification programs with Chase. I made one payment late and now my home is in forclosure. Can you help stop the forclosure and get some resuced payment plan started?

We have been fighting for a loan mod. since Nov. Chase is a nightmare! They lost countless fax's, change there story a million times. We filed a complaint w/ BBB. Now we are going to file w/ ohio attroney general. We have never been late once. Foreclosure would be better than dealing w/ them.

On Aug 4 I spoke to a representative from Chase re: getting caught up on late payments. She advised me to MAIL in a payment that day and to continue to mail payments every 2 weeks until the account was current. I offered to make a payment over the phone that day but she said she couldn't process it. I specifically asked if this would stop any action on their part and she told me it would. I mailed the payment.
10 days later I got a foreclosure notice. I called and the rep I spoke with verified the conversation I had on the 4th with the other rep. They also verified the check I had been told to mail was received was was being routed back to me. (Today is Aug 19th and I still haven't received it.. in the meantime I have mailed another check so that the payments I was told to make every two weeks are paid as I was instructed.)

At this point the Attorney handling the forclosure has assessed $1420.00 in fees that were added to the reinstatement fee.

I am doing what they instructed me to do and being punished because they are doing what they told me they wouldn't do.

I call Chase and they tell me I have to speak to the Attorney's office. The Attorney's office tells me to call Chase and speak to someone in the Loss Mitigation Dept and to mail them a letter disputing the forclosure.

I am trying to pay them. I am doing what their representative told me to do.

Well i never thought It would happen. My wife and I have been Chase customers for many many years now and have never made one late payment. We actually pay more than what our payments are. Our house was hit by lightning August 12th 2011 and we havve been out of the house due to safety issues since then. We finally settled with the insurance company and they made the check out to us and Chase. The contrators are wanting their money and we have sent Chase all the paperwork required according to our Attorney.I talked with someone at Chase today and she tells me we must be behind on our payments not to have received a payment. I ask her if she had a computer and if so please check our payment history before she assumed anything, she did and she realized that she was very wrong. Now I have past due bills to contractors which I do NOT LIKE TO BE PAST DUE and Chase wants to give me the run around. I guess its time to find another company since we do have perfect credit. It really nice being out of our home and getting treated like this and being talked to like we have done something wrong. I assume that they want to hold our money as long as they can, I guess I can assume if they can. Back to the attorneys office tomorrow as this is sicking. I guess their to busy to help their good customers so lets see how they like it when they do not have us as a customer.
