I think the federal government should step in and help me pay my mortgage

March 02, 2009

My husband got laid off in 2008 and has had a hard time finding something steady/full time. That is why we are behind on payments. We have 3 kids and we do NOT want to lose this house.

I got tired of getting the run-around and decided to hire someone to fight for us!
We were only one month behind on our adjustable rate payment when I tried to get Indymac to modify our loan and all they did was give me the run-around! I couldn’t believe it when the guy on the phone (he was a big jerk!) actually said that my family shouldn’t eat so much because then we would spend less on groceries and would have more money to make our mortgage payment! He also said we should get a cheaper car and a bunch of other stuff that was really rude. This whole thing was keeping me up at night worrying about what was going to happen to us. I told my friend at work about this and she said I should call the loan modification company that got her loan modified down to 3.25% fixed interest rate! I finally decided to call them, and in about 45 days they got my interest rate down to 3.85% on a fixed rate too! The company is First American Financial Group and we are really happy with what they did for us. The website is theloanmodfacts.com. We chose them because they didn’t make a bunch of promises like some of the other companies and they had a 100% money back guarantee. I hope this helps some other people fighting with their loan company!

We tried everything they told us to do. Me and my husband are both disable. I sent them my whole check to keep them from foreclosing on us, but they did. They sent us a paper said that we had only 10 days to vacant our property. They even said, that we were not living in our home. Someone came out and was going to clean up our property because they was told by Indymac Bank that it was vacant over six months. We have lived in our home since 1987. We qualfied for re-modifaction but they lied to us about that to. All they do is get you in a loan then lied to you so they can get your property. If anyone can help us please do.

My mom and dad are both disable, my dad has cancer. That is why they got behind on their mortgage. They was one payment behind. My mom called and asked them if they could set their payment up, the guy laugh at her and said she was the first to ask that. But since I read this sight they lied about that to. My mom sent her whole check$516.50, and they lied to her. They said it would keep from foreclosing on them. They have liced in this house since Dec. 1987, and they have nowhere to go. So if anyone can help my dad and mom(Cynthia&Ricky) please help them keep their house.

How long do they give someone after they send you a 10 day vacant notice. I got the letter May 21, 2009, ten days was May 31, 2009. I am waiting to see what happens next. I have been trying to find a place to rent. We had lived here since 1987, our home was a gift from my husband's mother, that died in 2003. Today is June 11, 2009. I tried everything with Indymac Bank but just lie and tell you something different every time I call. I can check my account on line nad it stills says my Loan is active. So can please help us, we are both disable. I am sorry for everyone that is going through this. God Bless You All and good luck. I know I pray all the time.
