Suntrust will not respond to me, now I am in Foreclosure

February 13, 2009

I simply can't get through to Suntrust. I sent them a financial profiler in the end of December, and realized it has been over a month since I heard anything. I am cleaning out my retirement account in order to get back up to date, but might need help.

We also did what suntrust told us to do, now they will not help and we are in foreclosure. Anytime we call they forward us to the lawyers. We made a payment so we should have only been 2 behind and they kicked back the payment and sent us into foreclosure there has to be something we can do. We fell behind cuz they said they would help and after we were behind they said you have to pay everything up to date before we can help you...This company is unfair and should NOT be able to do this. We have 6 kids, medical bills and I am a business owner. We want to take legal actions and get everyone involved that suntrust has done wrong to. Please email me if you want to help or also need help, there has to be something we can do if we all come together. Carmelbritt13@yahoo.com

Hey, I'm looking into info about Suntrust's loan midifications. I'm at 6.25% fixed with a payment of 2000$ (with taxes). My fiance' and I have 1 13 month old child. Were only 2 weeks behind but I forsee us going far behind because of a recent pay cut I received due to the economy. Is there any advice you can give me?

The modifications to save your home and wealth are being universally denied. SunTrust refuses to listen or read the facts from the US Treasury site, on the modification procedures. My call was returned by Lisa Lawless, (No Joke or pun on her last name) where she said I was foolish in reading the materials from A spoofed website, which wanted to capitalize on my situation. As a federal contractor, I know the validity of the US Treasury website. I will sue SunTrust for fraud, having the trial in open federal court, open to the press. Sue them as I described, but not related to your lack of getting a modification, that's protected by law. General fraud statements, made by the bank are the crux of a civil lawsuit. What jury would not grant you a verdict in your favor, and award you the balance of your home, plus a punitive amount?
Recommended formula, loan balance times three, but never mention how you came up with the number.

We too got behind with Suntrust. They started refusing our payments in May so we sent in our financial info. After a month of them not contacting us and putting us off. They finally said they did not recieve our info. I have a certified recipte that they did. I then faxed all the info. They said they got it and to call back in 3 weeks. This was June 6 I have called every monday since then and today Aug 12th they tell me that it was finally picked up for review and I should call back in 3 weeks. I shouldnt have to call back. On top of that we got a letter in the mail from a lawyer stating that our home was up for auction on Aug 25th. I called suntrust and they said it would not be sold if they were still working on our information. I am sick to my stomach. I think they are full of it and arent intending on helping us. I called the lawyer but only got an answering machine. We have no savings we have our most recent payments saved up but after all their fees and such we dont have nearly enough to get home back. I dont know what to do.

My situation with SunTrust began in Sept. 2008 when my husband got laid off of work. At that time I contacted them and asked for any type of assistance that they could give me in paying my mortgage, but there response was “Nothing we can do for you unless you are 90+days behind.” So, apparently there was nothing that could be done at that time. We were able to pay our bill on time until January of 2009, when we started to fall behind again. I made another call, same story. When Obama passed his plan this year, I immediately started the loan modification process. That began in April, after five months, countless phone calls and hours on the phone; I finally got my loan modification package in the mail in September. Hoping for a miracle, a major disappointment appeared before my eyes when I opened the package, the mortgage had only decreased $11.00. How could that be, considering we had such a dramatic decrease in our income. According to SunTrust, they only take our income into consideration, not our debt. But, they told us to send back the paperwork unsigned and they would look for another workout option. So, here we go again! As of today, we are 90+ days behind on our mortgage payment, as SunTrust once told us to do. When I called and asked for help I am now told they can’t help me because I am 90+ days behind. When asked about their previous statement of “having to be” 90 days late to receive help, they said that things are different now. How convenient for them! We received our letter of default but are told they won’t proceed with the actual sale of our house because we are in the loan modification process, but I am sure that’s a lie too. I am very interested in talking with others about hearing what your situation might be. I am also looking for any advice that someone might want to give. I am going to fight this all the way through, to the point where SunTrust will WANT TO GIVE ME BACK MY HOME!!
