I received one Loan modification from Homecomings, does that mean I can't get another one?
Just trying to work out a deal since it was told to me originally that they only give one modification a year. I did not know when the mod. was set up 01/08 that the January money was considered short and it stated that I did not have to make a February 2008 payment and just found out by me not making the February payment I defaulted. Also, stated that I could never receive another modification for the duration of the loan. I am still employed but at this time, I am not doing overtime on the same level as I was before and my temporary assignment was dissolved once the market went down due to cutbacks. I am trying to look for additional employment but the market is very bad now. Also, HSBC lowered the rate for six months and then I have to reapply. My record with Homecomings was in good standing for 3 years. When the ARM adjusted the first time, I paid the new amount. I tried to get a One Shot Deal but the Agency felt that the mortgage lender should work with me because of the widespread problem.
