Countrywide says that they have no programs to help us get cought up on our loan, can that be true?
February 16, 2009
We had huge debt ($30,000) from when my wife was layed off from her job 8 years ago and began working with a credit counselor to make payments on that debt (now down to under $6000)...9 months ago we started experiencing problems in making the $700 mortgage payment and stupidly continued to make the smaller debt, medical, etc. payments...plus our oldest son went to college (middle one is about to go). After 3 months our mortgage company said that they were putting us on a program where we could get current...sent paperwork...then never confirmed anything after we sent back...we have called several times and they kept telling us there were programs...our recent call, they say there are no programs to help us...pay all.
