I have been paying ontime for quite a while... I guess that does not matter to Citi???
In October my loan changed to an ARM. I verbally expressed the hardship to CITI and they told me they would not do a modification because I have been paying on time so long but I could still apply. I did and they declined. The payment was $1275 the increase created a hardship that they failed to recognize. Gasoline went to $4.65 and all food and consumer products went up. My salary didn't. My mother was in the hospital for 1 week and the hardship grew. I only wanted some relief as my hours at work were cut and the pressure got worse. $1000 would be affordable. That they declined me before I even applied is unconscionable. A restructuring of the loan would have had me paying for what the true value of the house is ($189000) and not the inflated value of three years ago ($269000). It was a reason to force me into foreclosure because my home is valuable. Please help me?
