Bankruptcy may have stopped the foreclosure but I still can't afford the home

February 25, 2009

We have already filed bk in 2008 & was confirmed but still cannot afford the price of our home. Countrywide states we qualify for the national home retention program however they have made this process very long...we applied on 10/09/2008 and have yet to work out a plan. I call every week with no success...they have set a foreclosure sale date of 8/04/09 and the lift of stay has been granted. Please advise if you are able to help.

They gave me the run around since last October. I am now waiting for a sale date on my property also. They had the nerve to say "Do a short sale" < To which I replied " Oh, so you will accept less than the home is mortgaged for from a stranger, but won't lower my pricipal to current market value to keep me in my home!!!"
