How long is the foreclosure process in Texas?

October 20, 2009

I got a letter from Litton warning of possible foreclosure action, when I called they already referred the case to their lawyers. I called their law office and they asked me to fax a request for reinstatement with an answer expected this Monday. I don't know the Foreclosure Laws. How long is the foreclosure process in Texas?

Well if it is anything like MA, NOT LONG ENOUGH! You need to go to a site specific to Texas foreclosures and then you could get an idea. In Ma I guess all they need to do is put in the paper and set a date for the auctioneer to come to the front yard. It is disgusting that homeowners are getting NO REAL HELP. And places like Litton Loans who have been the subject of CLASS ACTION SUITS in the past, seem to just be gearing up for the next one, instead of doing the right thing and FINALIZING THESE LOAN MODIFICATIONS IN ANYTHING LIKE A REASONABLE TIME FRAME. NINETY DAYS IS LONG ENOUGH, approve it or deny it, but stop saying you're missing documents that have been sent to you three times or more!

The mortgage company lawyers usually don't stop, even while you are trying to renegotiate with the mortgage company. A lawsuit with request for a Temporary Restraining Order or a Chapter 13 Reorganization can help. Depends on how much time you have, month and a half in Texas usually, and how much money you have, or don't have. 13 is easier, quicker and faster. AND almost always stops the foreclosure.

They did the same thing to us. they kept saying were missing papers .I kept a copy of everything i faxed or mailed . All it is, is a big run around. they also kept prolonging things for a big disapointment.1 year of bulls..t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did the same thing to us they kept telling us that I was missing papers wich I had faxed and mailed to them way too many times. The I tried calling someone to get answers and I never could get a straight answer. Now again my home is going up for sale on 01-11-2010 and I still have not got an answer or returned calls. I have done everything they have asked me to do and it's gone on for 5 months.

I feel your pain, all of you. I was fortunate enough to find a company that is legitimate. Now I know that the banks the news and government say we shouldn’t go to any company that charges, that the banks will modify your loans for free. Well, how many of us on here have had our loans modified by the banks?

A lot have lost their homes, and lot more still will unless you do what’s necessary to save your homes from the banks. I went through what most of you have, I was there. Then I was referred.

I know I would have lost it to Wachovia if it wasn’t for him and the rest of the people who work there. Got me caught up on my mortgage 1st & 2nd, lowered my interested rate & payment.

Before anyone else on here loses their homes you need to give them a call. Don’t be afraid of hiring a loan modification company, be afraid of the banks, they are the ones who are taking our homes!

I know they get the job done. News and TV made me afraid to even consider a loan modification company because they are all scams and my lender will do it for free (wrong). There hasn't been not one story about a good company and when I tried to contact my local news channel they told me that my success story wasn't news (What!)

So, I am making it my mission to spread the word on this GREAT company!
