It's the economy that has caused us go into foreclosure, is there any end in sight?
The reason I am looking for help now is I was laid off the end of 2007 due to the economy (I work in the new housing construction market, and everyone knows what has happened to that). The people I was working for felt bad that they had to lay me off, so they asked if I would work part time at a reduced salary until things picked up again. I jumped at the chance. However, this reduced my monthly income to approximately 1/3 of what I was receiving. I have been making half payments on my mortgage since then, that's all I have, but I have been told this will end on the June 1st payment, and foreclosure will begin unless I can again start paying the full payment and make up the amounts I am behind by paying only half payments. I am also the sole support of two family members that are medically unable to work and have no incomes. If I lose my house, we are all out in the street homeless and I don't know what I will do. I was never late on my payments before this recession hit. I have no control over the economy and tried to explain this to the mortgage company (Idaho Housing and Finance) but there is no compassion there. All I want is to be able to make the half payments until things pick up more, at which time I will be put back on full time and at my full salary. I will then have no problem with my payments. I asked if payments could be added to the back of the mortgage, charge me more or whatever needs to be done, I am desperate! I cannot lose my home, I am out looking for work every day. Things will begin to pick up in this area soon now that winter is over, but I just need somebody to have patience and work with me!
