Countrywide said they can't help unless we are more than 30 days past due, now what because I am

I have received a notice of default from the county. I contacted the mortgage company a month before I missed my first payment telling them that I wasn't able to make my next payment and was basically told they were not able to do anything for me unless my account was more than 2 months past due. I kept calling them and finally when my account was 2 months past due, they offered to review options for a work out plan. I kept calling in regards to that for about 1 month and I kept hearing that someone would call me back. Then I received a letter from the mortgage company saying they did not approve a workout plan because I could not afford one. I've spoken with them and they've given me no options at all. At this point, I know I have to sell my home and I don't think there;s anyway of saving it.

I have filed for chapter 7 but i would like to keep my home. however, i won't be able to afford the current payment due to income change. i have missed a couple of mortgage payments.
what would I have to do in order to qualify for the modification of payment?

I am able to make payments now but Countrywide said it is too late. I know I got behind, but I told them I could make $2000 per month payments to help "catch up" but they said it's too late. I'd half to come up with $6700 all at once. If I had that kind of money, I wouldn't be in this prediciment.

I was told by the "Home Retention" team that I had to wait until I was 5 payments behind. The Home team was te biggest line of bullshit, as soon as I was 5 payments behind they started foreclosure. Caution to others don't give them any info always treat them as a hostile foe because that is all they are. I could go one just tell them the check is in the mail and if they try to call after 9pm get the callers name phone # & ext, fax numbers, addresses etc because a call after 9 pm is grounds to sue them

Hi can you help if i have a 80/20 from Countrywide 1st rate 8.1 adjustable and 13%. I've been waiting since Dec. 1st for a respond from home retention program my home value is $20k less than what i owe. i want a principal reduction. Attorneys are calling to help but charging me $2000.00 i am already behind 5 months on the mortage what should i do should i use the attorneys they insist that they will be sooner. Do you think that my lender is not going to decline my application please call me 860 816-2146.

We were only one month behind on our adjustable rate payment when I tried to get them to modify our loan and all they did was give me the run-around! I couldn’t believe it when the guy on the phone (he was a big jerk!) actually said that my family shouldn’t eat so much because then we would spend less on groceries and would have more money to make our mortgage payment! He also said we should get a cheaper car and a bunch of other stuff that was really rude. This whole thing was keeping me up at night worrying about what was going to happen to us. I told my friend at work about this and she said I should call the loan modification company that got her loan modified down to 3.25% fixed interest rate! I finally decided to call them, and in about 45 days they got my interest rate down to 3.85% on a fixed rate too! The company is American Foreclosure Specialists and we are really happy with what they did for us. The website is afscanhelp.com. We chose them because they didn’t make a bunch of promises like some of the other companies and they had a 100% money back guarantee. I hope this helps some other people fighting with their loan company!
