Bankruptcty to stop my foreclosure did not work, any advice

My husband and I filed for bankruptcy in order to save our house. The bank that had our mortgage continued to proceed with the proceedings. I hate to think about it being to late to do anything, I have stressed to where it has affected my health in a bad way. I had contacted their attorney when I saw in the newspaper they were filing a sheriffs sale and the attorney’s office informed me they were unaware of my filing a bankruptcy and that the attorney had to contact them and they would stop the proceedings. Well they didn’t. I know I owe them for back payments, but they are unwilling to work with us unless we pay the $9K backpayment which includes the attorney fees. This property has been in the family since they were relocated to Oklahoma from the old trail of tears and I am sick to think somebody else will be living in my home. I want to refinance, I owe $18K and am trying to find a solution to my problem. My bankruptcy is complete, where can I turn, maybe you can advise me.
