Am I another number to Citi Residential or do they care?

May 05, 2008

Hello, Although I didn't like reading the stories out there but it was good to know I am not the only one dealing with issues with Citiresidential/AMC. I need help finding assistance getting out of my ARM. Currently facing possible foreclosure with Citi Residential Lending (use to be AMC). I was paying my mortgage on time before the rate starting going up. I was laid off in 2005 and started facing financial hardship while my monthly payment started steadily rising (Gone up 5 to 7 times, last raise 4/1). I have a stable job now (but had to move to find it and making decent money) and cannot get mortgage caught up with Citi Residential. I have read all of the horrible stories about Citi Residential/AMC and want out. Don't know what else to do! I am single so the only option is to work a 2nd job. I already been seeing a therapist and on anti-depressants due to anxiety. I don't have the energy to work a 2nd job. I just need a lower fixed mortgage payment. I hope someone can help! I look forward to your call and advice.

I have been dealing with AMC/Citi Residential for 2 years trying to get out of foreclosure. During this time my case has been switched to 6 different Reps. without my knowledge. I call everyday and I never get through. I tell them to call me at 1 number and they continue to call me at another #. I know that this is being done purposely. Is there anyone that can help me out there?

I was told that they would work out a loan modification because we were facing foreclosure. We were struck with a double financial hardship last year, and I finally got in touch with Citi Residential Lending, and HopeNow, and I have not been contacted by anyone for over 3 months. I faxed them all the information they needed to prove that our financial hardship was over and now, a realty company has put a "No Trespassing" sign on our homes window, and apparently it was sold right out from under our feet. We never had a late payment before our hardship, but they wouldn't give us a second chance. I think it stinks! its a terrible experience, first losing my health, then my job, then my vehicles, then my home, and now my pride and dignity. We loved our home and took care of it with tender loving care and raised 2 wonderful children while living there. They are a bunch of crooks and a heartless company.

We refinanced with AMC they are now Citi Resedential in 2004 then the next year all the ARM started rising at so much our payment about doubled. Then my husband became disabled at 59 years old and we are in forclosure after having our home 21 years. They didn't want to wirk with us we have now filed bankruptcy with them in our plan. They keep it up and I will contineu to file until I pay my house off. and Pray the bankruptcy judges get the power to make morgage compnies lower their interest rates and stop thsi recession before the United States collapses because of these worthless CEO'S in New York making it rich on our hardships.

Citi Residential is just as bad as AMC ever was. I have been going in circles for two years trying to avoid foreclosure- and just two weeks ago when I asked about repayment plans, I was told I don't qualify since my ARM went up. So I asked, "I just have to wait for you to foreclose?" The answer was "unfortunately, yes" since they only service loans. Aren't they owned by the mighty Citi Group??? Whoever says banks don't want to foreclose has never been affiliated with Citi Residential. What a joke.
