WHat options do I have while in Bankruptcy?

April 10, 2008

I am self employed, and in active bankruptcy (filed in 2005). I have missed a payment in 2006, 2007, and now last month. Which now totals 3 payments. I have received papers indicating that HSBC is going to try to have the bankruptcy lifted in order to proceed with foreclosure. I do have a payment to send, but I'm not sure if they will accept it. I plan to call Monday morning. Due to the economy, and lack of state funding for childcare, I'm struggling to make my payments. I have began searching for additional employment, a room mate, or even someone to lease my home. I just want to know what are my options, do I have any since I am in Bankruptcy?

I have been with HSBC since 2005 I allways made my payments on time I also had great credit at that time and I got a 8.25% rate to high,in 2007 my husband shattered his rite heel in a personal accident, and went thru many operations we got behind on our payments due to lack of my husband unable to work,I tried everything to save our home finally I asked HSBC Please help us and my children to save our home they put me on a modification program for 6months,only a 200.00 dollar break I asked if that was all they could do and I was told that was it,then we had to file chater13 to lower our bills due to my husbands medical problems, then HSBC took my attorney to court to let us know that if we got behind on any more payments we would be foreclosed on no questions asked.I thought that HSBC would lower the intrest rate at least to 5% to make things at bit better on us but no luck it seems that this company thrives on our misery.I can barely make my payments I have to rob petter to pay paul every month,is their any help out there we need it bad, thanks mrs waid

My husband has suffered a severe illness. As a result he was left one hundred percent blind and can no longer work. He is now receiving disability which is no where near what he was making working. We are eight payments behind and HSBC offered us a third mortgage for a house that is not worth what we owe. Is there any other way to get help.
