We are stuggling here... does anyone care?

April 11, 2008

We have two loans, 80%/20% split and are only two months behind on the large mortgage, The small mortgage is 4 or more but they have not talked about foreclosure with us. We have a balloon payment on the second mortgage at the end but we are un-sure on when the end is. My wife was laid off in the middle of june last year and we have been struggling ever since to make payments. She is working again but we can not seem to get ahead.

Litton Loan Servicing LP

Dear Representative:

I received a letter from my current lender Fremont Investment and Loan that my loan has been transferred to you Litton Loan Servicing LP.

This is an opportunity for me as a valued customer to ask you for a lower rate that I could not get approved by my current lender. I have been struggled with that high interest rate since two (2) years; and I remain my credibility, he would be a lot for me, if I could get that change from you.

Sincerely yours,

Florence Saint-Joy

Ms. Saint-Joy,

Why should a company have to adjust their terms you aggreed to simply because you were reckless with your credit? Also, why should the american public pay for your sense of entitlement? There is no one else to blame but yourself. Until you accept blame, I have no sympathy for your troubles. I spend within my means and read all contracts I sign. I never asked you to pay for my debts and expect the same in return. Please go bankrupt, accept responsibility for your actions, and move on.

Why should bankruptcy be the answer? You are a cold and callous one. Here this lady is looking to adjust her loan. She is not asking for a handout. And even if she was, who are you to deny it? We all need help at one time or another. Share some compassion and maybe one day someone will share some on your behalf...

To you are twisted....I would like to inform anyone who is so rightous that they never got into a perdicerment that this doesnt make you better than every one else!!! these mortgage companies faulsely represented them selves and for many of us we were lied too and made to believe that our homes could be refinanced in 2 years at a fixed rate...Unfortunately we arent rocket scientist and didnt forsee the future.the homes just dont appraise for enough to make the grade..We are one of the few lucky ones that can still afford our payments althought they have gone up 1/3 I feel sorry for the people that were miss lead as I know exactly what happened to you...Our mortgage guy is in prison for life for what he did. His name is Devin Hughes ( you can google him) and he frauded a lot of people and they lost their homes.....SHAME SHAME ON you that judge other people..if you dont like what people are asking on here so that they might get a little sympathy or help then please dont read the BLOGS these are probably decent people that live and let live and my prayers go with each and every one of them.....Here's to good health and help in the future. May God bless

I had read so much negative stuff about litton loan that when me and my wife lost our restaurant do to the slow economy we thought our house was next. Litton loan kept calling me and I kept trying to make money to pay my loan. So finally I picked up the phone and they told me they would help me by modifying my loan fixing my interest rate. Well I did not believe them so anyways I did sent in my hardship letter and proof of income and in less than 8 days I got my loan modified from 10.69% to 5.77% from $1915.00 a month to $1359.00 now if that is not a blessing then I dont know what is. I had told God one day driving you give me a sign and I will make sure my family is back in church that signn came like a week later. I dont care if I stay without cable, water, cell phone i will make sure my mortgage stays paid. thanks litton loan

This is for the negative comment above...what about the small business that help fuel this country and are finding themselves in hardship because they are putting food on other american's table but can't get a break with their loan? I am a WMBE Construction company and have felt a huge impact in our business. I have not yet laid anyone off "yet" but am struggling to pay a 9.625% interest loan, which I cant refy nor can I get a business loan to help float payroll until the next job,...what am I to do now? I go for a business loan and consultants all want money to help me get one but its upfront money that I cant aford to let go.I dont want to lose my home or lay my guys off. If anyone knows how to help I would love to hear it!

We were only one month behind on our adjustable rate payment when I tried to get Litton to modify our loan and all they did was give me the run-around! I couldn’t believe it when the guy on the phone (he was a big jerk!) actually said that my family shouldn’t eat so much because then we would spend less on groceries and would have more money to make our mortgage payment! He also said we should get a cheaper car and a bunch of other stuff that was really rude. This whole thing was keeping me up at night worrying about what was going to happen to us. I told my friend at work about this and she said I should call the loan modification company that got her loan modified down to 3.25% fixed interest rate! I finally decided to call them, and in about 45 days they got my interest rate down to 3.85% on a fixed rate too! The company is American Foreclosure Specialists and we are really happy with what they did for us. The website is afscanhelp.com. We chose them because they didn’t make a bunch of promises like some of the other companies and they had a 100% money back guarantee. I hope this helps some other people fighting with their loan company!

Please email your litton stories. Someone has to find out how they do business, and only if we work together can we prevail.
