We need to redo our loan to a smaller payment, will Saxon do that?
April 11, 2008
Our financial situation has improved by 874.00 per month since my SSI started in August, 2007, but haven't been able to catch up on old past due. We would like to redo loan and get a smaller payment they asked for my financial package, it was faxed and after a month or so of hearing nothing, we got the letter of default and sale date. we both are on SSI and get a check every month. If we pay the 1035.00 regular payment it leaves us too short.

IF enough of us default and file bankruptcy maybe it will cause them to go out of business. I will do what ever I have to to make people aware of the shady practices of saxon. I have on word for those assholes......BANKRUPTCY they can eat it I hope the go out of business. By far the worst mortgage company ever!!!!!!!!
I too am going through the same thing. I sent my work out package in April, confirmed email from Tonya Dobbins that all was received.
In July Titantium solutions was sent out. They said they never received my emailed and snail mailed package. So Tittanium sent it too on July 18.
August 18 we received letter that the house was in foreclosure, I called both places. Al said they received all the package but the w2 and pay stubs. I asked where they ever going to bother telling me that, but why did Tonja say she had it all?
On Sept 8 I call and was told we were getting a loan modification and it has not been all worked out yet.
On Sept 10 we received foreclosure papers. I called again, our case was assigned to Tyron Johnson, who I called on Sept 8 to return my call, who never did. Finally got ahold of him and you could tell he has never even picked it up, he even said he just got it that day. He then proceeds to tell us due to income we do not qualify for a loan mod. If we don't how did we buy the house in the first place? We are making more money now than then.
Doesn't make sense in my opinion.
I am hopefully going to file chapter 7 and let them eat every dime of it.
I am pissed.

We are now trying to get a loan modification with saxon and are getting the run around with them. One person tells us that they haven't recieved our paperwork and another one says that they have. Is there anything that we can do? Is there anyone that we can file a legal complaint with? I am so tired of getting the run around. We can no longer afford the loan. My husband is losing his job and I don't know what to do now.
We are filing bankruptcy. The judge got us a hold over until March of this year. He said they were dumb to not work with us, but in the end it is their choice.
Amy,
There is nothing you can do except plan to move out. Fight it until the end though. We are, not that we want the additional $10,000 they have now tacked on to the loan, we need time as we are building a house as I don't want to rent.
I am in with a class action lawsuit right now, hoping we get approved to be represented when it is presented in court.
We have been in our home for 5 years. They lied to us, they lied to their own middle man. I think they are so over ran with foreclosures they don't know which end is what and the ones wanting help are falling through the cracks to those that don't.
Feel free to email me I will help you the best I can. But from my experience so far there is no hope with this company.

Will try to keep detail short. Husband passed away in 2005. My loan payment went up one month after his death. I had to re-mortgage four months later. The loan officer helped me look as though I had more income than I had. I am in Ohio and Saxon is in Texas. The office to which I was sent to close the re-mortgage was closed. It was a night or two before Thanksgiving so he said that we had to get it done or it would take a few weeks longer. I called when I found the office closed and was told a person was on their way to my home for the close. I get a call from the person who could not, on this cold snowy night, find my home. I met them at a restaurant on our main drag. I signed then we had to take papers and my drivers license to my Kroger store where the were kind enough to make copies for us. I got into a baloon but fixed rate mortgage. Won't baloon until 2035. I am 62 and became ill. I was making my payments at the end of the month instead of the first when they were due. I have never missed a payment-ever. I was getting a loan because I needed to replace windows and do some much needed repairs. The person from the loan co. called to say that my credit just took a nose dive and I could not get the loan. I found out that Saxon had put in my credit report that I had missed a house payment. I called them, I had not missed and they would have it taken out but would take 60 to 90 days to do this. At the same time two hospitals and some labs were not sending bills through my insurance, ChampVA which is for family/widows of service members who died a service conected death. They were billing Champus (for military members), Deers and Tri-Care. As I was getting this cleared up they would still put the bills in my credit report. Only part of the bills were ever cleared up, so I ask my attorney what I should do about the bills and Saxon. He said that it would never get cleared up and I should take bankruptcy. I forgot to mention that when I knew I would have trouble I called Saxon and was told they would not discuss anything or do anything until I had missed a payment. Later I was told I should not have been told that but I found that is how it mostly went with Saxon, told one thing by one person, something else by another. At first they said that their lawyers would speak with mine but never would they answer phone calls nor return calls. At first I was going to keep my car and house but my attorney said that I might as well put the house in too and so I did.
Finally someone from Saxon contacted me and offered to negotiate. I am asking you what you think because it sounds too good to be true. I had to fill out a finacial worksheet and write a letter saying why I had trouble making the payment and how I planned to remdey the situation. I did this and I also showed them I received a 6% raise in VA benefits and 5.8% in my widows pension plus I get a small job pension. All that plus fax many documents such as proof of income and showing how I don't have to pay taxes on my income. I was told it had been approved. I am now calling each week to see when the papers for me to sign will be sent. One of their reps told me to do that, call each week. Today one of the reps is going to request a hold be put on my foreclosure, will know yea or ney in 72 hours. I was told that the papers were with their attorneys awaiting for them to check them over and sign. I will have an interest rate of 5%. A down payment of $500 due March first and a house payment of $716.00 due April first. Included in my payment is my home insurance and taxes. I had been with State Farm for many years and that is who they pay. I called State Farm and the payments have been kept up. Taxes won't be due until 25th of this month. It will be fixed but still have the baloon. The rep said that I should be ready with the money or cashier's check so I can send it with the papers as soon as I get them. They will be sent express and have an express envelope for me to return the papers. I had owed around $127,000 but now $14,000 (missed payments) will be tacked on the end of loan. I was told I had to pay their lawyers and it is part of what is added on the end. It just seems odd that they are waiting so long since It has all been approved. If I don't take the deal then I owe nothing because I put the house in the bankruptcy.
What do you think of this deal?

Could you please tell me if Saxon actually will modify a home loan or if it is just a bunch of bull? We have been working to have ours modified for over a year and we get nothing but the run around and the whole reason we are having finacial difficulties is due to them reporting a payment as a negiative instead of a payment! Help what do we do?
I got tired of getting the run-around and decided to hire someone to fight for us!
We were only one month behind on our adjustable rate payment when I tried to get Saxon to modify our loan and all they did was give me the run-around! I couldn’t believe it when the guy on the phone (he was a big jerk!) actually said that my family shouldn’t eat so much because then we would spend less on groceries and would have more money to make our mortgage payment! He also said we should get a cheaper car and a bunch of other stuff that was really rude. This whole thing was keeping me up at night worrying about what was going to happen to us. I told my friend at work about this and she said I should call the loan modification company that got her loan modified down to 3.25% fixed interest rate! I finally decided to call them, and in about 45 days they got my interest rate down to 3.85% on a fixed rate too! The company is First American Financial Group and we are really happy with what they did for us. The website is theloanmodfacts.com. We chose them because they didn’t make a bunch of promises like some of the other companies and they had a 100% money back guarantee. I hope this helps some other people fighting with their loan company!
