April 03, 2008
currently unemployed and looking for work. Have no income coming in at the moment. I have talked to the mortgage company and they have asked me to send them a hardship letter and financial statement of my current expenses. I would like to keep the house. I will be going through a divorce at the same time and the kids are living with there mother in the house at the moment. My wife does not work at the moment either. she has been getting help from the church she goes to to pay some of the other bills but not with the mortgage.

older folks, 62+ who own do not owe more than approx 55% of the homes value should do a reverse mortgage. It will absolve your current outgoing payment and might even give you extra money. The loan is repaid when the house is sold, either by you or your children after the last borrower on title passes away or permanently moves out.
