I need a realistic repayment plan set up with Litton

April 15, 2008

I desperately need help with working out a realistic re-payment plan. The one that was created for me last month does not allow for unexpected expenses. The payment increased by over $600 a month with a $3500 down payment. I have two small children and an elderly parent and need my home. Please assist in any way you can. Is a forbearance and re-payment plan possible for me?

Litton Loan Servicing LP

Dear Representative:

I received a letter from my current lender Fremont Investment and Loan that my loan has been transferred to you Litton Loan Servicing LP.

This is an opportunity for me as a valued customer to ask you for a lower rate that I could not get approved by my current lender. I have been struggled with that high interest rate since two (2) years; and I remain my credibility, he would be a lot for me, if I could get that change from you.

Sincerely yours,

Florence Saint-Joy

Negotiate with the bank....show them that you cant afford the monthly payment anymore....as long as they are getting thier money they will not modify. An attorney can provide the proper paperwork and procedures needed to get the best deal possible. Any bank doesnt have a choice but to work with the hired attorney, but he must have experience and history with the bank through prior modifications to get the best deals, Ones you probably didnt think were even possible.

We were only one month behind on our adjustable rate payment when I tried to get Litton to modify our loan and all they did was give me the run-around! I couldn’t believe it when the guy on the phone (he was a big jerk!) actually said that my family shouldn’t eat so much because then we would spend less on groceries and would have more money to make our mortgage payment! He also said we should get a cheaper car and a bunch of other stuff that was really rude. This whole thing was keeping me up at night worrying about what was going to happen to us. I told my friend at work about this and she said I should call the loan modification company that got her loan modified down to 3.25% fixed interest rate! I finally decided to call them, and in about 45 days they got my interest rate down to 3.85% on a fixed rate too! The company is American Foreclosure Specialists and we are really happy with what they did for us. The website is afscanhelp.com.com. We chose them because they didn’t make a bunch of promises like some of the other companies and they had a 100% money back guarantee. I hope this helps some other people fighting with their loan company!

Litton Loan has treated us fairly
we are 3 months behind on our mortgage do to loss of job and they gave us a decent payback schedual. we are also in the process of doing a modification. they have always been polite and helpful. Just tell the truth and be polite to them and they will respect you and your problem

I have a mortgage with Litton Loan, or at least they are trying to collect for the Morgage Company. Since we moved into our double wide mobile home our health has gone down hill. I had a brain tumor and my husband had a stroke. I am behind two payments and by the first of Feb. it will be three. I asked for a modification loan and the first person I spoke to said I might would qualify but I needed some information. I gathered the information and called again and the second person just right off the top of her head said NO. Then a rep from Litton called me, she said that I needed to cancel my cable and look around for other things to cut so I could pay my payment maybe even ask if my car payment could be moved up for a couple of months. I am the only one working and my husband gets a small social security check. My credit is questionable because no one will work with me. I think Litton is hard to deal with also before they did cut me a deal when I was 5 months behind when I had the brain tumor and we did settle that. Can someone please help?

Thanks if we could get through to them or another loan company for mobile homes (our whole complex is double wides)after talking to three different reps and getting a phone call at work DAILY (recording).
