I need a Loan Modification but they have deinied me

April 10, 2008

Originally missed Nov and Dec 2007 payments, worked out a fee of $2975.00 to be paid in February, I made that payment. Thought mortgage company took loan modification app at that time over the phone but apparently that was not the case. Made March payment but mortgage co. refused to take it, then attached attorney fees of $1875 for foreclosure, now they demand it all and have refused my application for loan modification.

Wachovia is THE WORST mortgage lender I have ever dealt with! I am sorry that they denied you too. I know what you're going thru, as they have ignored me and my requests to make good on my payments. I have 80% of what's owed and they refuse to work with me, hang up on me, refuse to allow me to speak with managers, etc. TERRIBLE!! Wachovia is in this business to take peoples homes. BE WARNED.

Wachovia SUCKS! they have repeatedly referred us to loan specialists that refuse to help us. When we asked to be considered for a modification, we were quoted an amount that is $1000 over the payment we already can't make. They are relentless. We're considering just letting the property go and starting over.

my ex has not paid the mortgage on a house that I deeded to her and now the bank will sell it at the court house on Sept 2. I just received a loan modification package to sign so that she can keep the house. How did she qualify for a loan modification with out my signature on the application? Wasn't I suppose to sign before any consideration was taken? She has no job and the IRS is after her. She has also foreclosed on another property.

We were two month behind on our adjustable rate payment when I tried to get them to modify our loan and all they did was give me the run-around! I couldn’t believe it when the guy on the phone actually said that my family shouldn’t eat so much because then we would spend less on groceries and would have more money to make our mortgage payment! What a jerk! He also said we should get a cheaper car and a bunch of other stuff that was really rude. Come to find out the loan modification they were going to give us was a just Forbearance Agreement and all it was going to do was add the payments we were behind on to the back of my loan. Since our interest rate was going to stay the same, this would actually make my payment go up! THAT’S what got me into this mess in the first place! My payments are too high! This whole thing was keeping me up at night worrying about what was going to happen to us. I told my friend at work about this and she said I should call the loan modification company that got her loan modified down to 3.75% fixed interest rate! I decided to call them, and in about 45 days they got my interest rate down to 4.35% and it’s a fixed rate too! The company is First American Financial Group and we are really happy with what they did for us. The website is, w. w. w. TheLoanModFacts . com. We went with them because they have attorneys on staff to make sure the banks do the best they can and they have a 100% money back guarantee. I hope this helps some other people fighting with their loan company! Don’t give up and don’t be intimidated by your mortgage company!

Hi Stephanie,

Did you default on your loan by ant chance before you were considered for the loan modification? Please advise... and Thank you.
