My family's been through a lot of grief and this is unbearable
April 11, 2008
I've been living separate from my wife for about a year, and our house, where she and our kids live is mortgaged in her name only, but both our names are on the deed. Her brother died of cancer recently, contributing to her already chronic depression. She just told me that she stopped making house payments a while ago and the house was foreclosed. She says she has until August to vacate. Is there any way I can save my kids home and assume total liability? I earn about $50,000 per year and have little debt. My credit is average, but I have little established credit, due to my unwillingness to buy things I can't afford.
