We had a deal with Litton then I see my house is being foreclosed in the newspaper

March 20, 2008

I thought we had worked out a fixed loan but then i seen my house in newspaper. i had given banking info for auto withdrawal and signed and returned all paperwork, i had tried to call several times to confirms status of loan but never received a call back from Litton loan, We had a financial setback but got everything corrected and then the interest rate went so high we couldn't make payments at 15.99%. i have called several people but cant seem to get any answers. i paid a company to foreclosure stopped so we could get something worked out but they didn't do anything until it was too late. I hope you can please help me. My husband is a bad heart patient and this was his mothers home its taking a toll on him.

I too have faxed, mailed, called, and still seemed to be ignored. My house was up for selling on 11/20 and it wasn't until 11/18, that they finally decided to put it on hold for a month. Will I see my address listed in the paper also? Why does it take so long? What person do you have to speak with to get information?

My son is going thru the same situation only he has the money to pay it off completely and Litton reps told him no way. They want to take his house because thats how they make money. He has attained an attorney to fight them but so far has yet to settle this. Litton Loan is a crooked morgage company that the gov't. is letting them get away with it. They need to be stopped and put out of business!

It is very scary reading about Litton Loans and what they have done to homeowners. I am trying to get a modification, but like so many others, they play the document shuffle with me, what is resolved one day--- doesn't remain resolved. Because, they have everything, then they don't. They get the same stuff again, but soon, it will again turn up Missing in Inaction.
I find that they will be Profiteering off the situation either way, IF THEY EVER FINALIZE THE MODIFICATION Then they will say I owe them around five hundred dollars PER MONTH I WAS PUT ON HOLD BY THEM, if they don't they steal my house under the false pretenses of having first TRIED IN EARNEST to help me save it-- yeah right. Where are the FINALIZED PAPERS stop stalling and capitalizing off it, exploiting homeowners desperately trying to get you LITTON LOANS to do the RIGHT THING, for a change. Where is WASHINGTON, why put words like "may" when we all know the word has to be "MUST!"

Littn does not care if you losethe only want to cllect fees and to bleed you for every last dime and if you are unable to pay for wahtever reason foreclosure is their priority and primary rason for being in business

well, i worte the 2 comment, and since then i have moved from my house. The people i hired to do the modification put in a complaint with the better bereau b.
so litton loan contacted me right away tryin to get me back inmy house. i had already rented a house so i had given a deposit n a first month. so the person at litton wanted me to move back in my house n work the modification out, but i had to send them my first payment of 2100. hello I did not have that money anymore. my husband got the phone and cursed that man out. he asked him why didnt he work things out before n so on. well the man agreed it was their fault so he would send a letter to the credit report bureaus to explain what had happen. it doesnt make a dif though the credit b. is not goin to care about what they have to say.
to be honest though i am happier now, because i dont have to deal with litton anymore!!

The best way to fight Litton is keep all documents and record conversations with them and then file a lawsuit for deceptive business practices. This is in the works in my family. I pray to God that they will have to pay big and something is done to stop these scabs on society! What person with a conscious could even work for them?

My husband and I have been going through the loan mod. process for the last year, all for them to say that we are not approved for a loan modification and now they want to charge us for a rediculous amount of money for a repayment plan a month. We stayed in constant contact with them. we were told several times that we were approved, then all of sutton we get this news. if we dont agree to the terms of the repayment plan Litton Loan will proceed with foreclosure 2/2/10 I dont know what to do. we hired a foreclosure atty to help us but we both got the run around for a year. Im filing a complaint with the BBB

my husband and i have been getting the run around for about a year now. They finally gave us probation period for three months 617.25 .wow i thought thank you jesus. we were trying so hard to not fall more three months behind and we didnt. then we get good news . we pay our payments on time .we send our paper work . time goes by and more time goes by we called talked to people they said our payments wouldnt go up . one person said in 5 years we might go up 1 percent. we thought what a blessing . My husband had three surgies in 2009. out of work .Then his job put everyone 3 days a week right at the begining of 2009 so it has been rough. so we can finally breath so we think .we paid that low payment for about 6 months. Then i call to see when we finally can get off the probationary period for them to say we are remodifying your payments to 1800.00 holly s..t!!!!! What is going on here .We cant take it . daughter in college. im a cna my husbad only works three days a week. They want us to live off 600.00 a month for utilitys, insurance, grocerys ,college etc... they dont care . what can we do ?

Stacie - the same thing has happened to me. My original modification with Litton was $797.00, then $1473, now they want me to pay $1685 a month, which is almost 40% of our income. What happened to "no more than 31% of your income" going to your mortgage? I thought that was the whole idea. I paid every payment on time and gave them everything they asked for. I have a letter of default with intent to accelerate. (aka-we're are going to foreclose on your house, take your money and kick you out). I agree with you! How do these people sleep at night? They are worse than vultures, preying on people who really need help! Well, they are NOT getting another penny out of me. I am lucky enough that I can move. It will be a pain, but that's what I'm doing. I'm sick of dealing with these idiots. They haven't heard the last of me yet. I am going to try to get people together to fight them. There is strength in numbers!

My wife and I have had the same thing happened to us, also. My original payment was about 1,900 a month. The next year they said they had a shortage in the account that pays the property tax and Insurance. They raised our monthly payment by over 600 a month. We now were paying more than 2,500 a month. We started to try for a modification in January of 2009. We hired a modification firm to help us. In June of 2009 we agreed on a modification of about 1,600 which was suppose to be part of the HAMP program. We started and paid 3 months on time. I called them after the three month trial period and asked if we were finished with the trial period, they said that they didn't have my modification aplication complete. So, they set a forclosure sale date that was 10 days off that current date. I told them that I had faxed them all the paper work they needed when we started the trail period, they said the application wasn't complete. I told them that I had faxed everything that was on the list they had sent me. litton said they didn't have the complete paperwork. So, I asked if they would still consider me for the HAMP program. Litton said no, I asked if there was anything else I could do. They said I could apply for Littons own modification program. I sent them what supposely they were missing. I had kept the the papers I had faxed the first time in a file completely in the same order. The papers they said were missing were there in the same order I had faxed them. I tried to pay my payments on the internet site for litton, they would'nt accept my payment. Then, I tried the phone payment on the statements they had sent for payment. I called litton for two weeks , no one answered. I left messages everytime I called.
So then on June 08, 2010 called litton called and left a message for me to call them. I called for 3 days until someone answered. My application was denied and my foreclosure date is on June 20, 2010. Which by the way is a Sunday ?

Hello my name is Thomas Morano. I have had a mortgage with Litton Loan Servicing since 2001. In 2008 my income was cut by almost 50%. This caused my wife and I to fall behind on our mortgage. After 2 or 3 months we began to work with a loan modification company in Florida. They were attempting to get us a loam modification under the HAMP program. I believe it was March of 2010 we received a trail Modification and were very pleased. We made all three payments that were required under the trial modification. And In June of 2010 we received the completed modification. But when we read the outline of the modification it was not what we were expecting. All we were offered was a payment of 1900 dollars a month. Our original payment was 1300 dollars. The payment included all back payments to include taxes. There was no true modification. When I ask why we were denied I was told are income did not qualify for the HAMP modification. Then the woman on the phone became abusive and told me to sell my house.

In Sept of 2010 we started again on a loan modification with another firm in NJ. Again we provided all paperwork needed. And just last week we were told that we were in the final stages and the modification was with the investor. Just last night I received a call from my agent and was told that the modification was denied. the reason given. The investor does not accept loan modifications. Can I ask why we just went through another year of waiting ? Another year of getting farther and farther behind on our mortgage only to find
out the investor was going to say no?

Also why was the first denial because of our income and the second because the investor does not except modifications?
I do not want to loose my house. I want to work this out. But I want it to be fair. I am paying a rate of 8.9 percent which is ridiculous. Cannot the loan be re written at a lower rate? Also there must be late fees and attorney fees that could be waived to help conclude this long process.

This in part is an email that I sent to Litton Loan servicing. My Wife and I want to keep our home but Litton Loan refuses to help us. I thought your administration was trying to help people like us. I am a US Veteran from the Cold War and now work in Sales. My Wife is a Teacher. I need your help before I loose everything I have ever worked for.
Thank you
Thomas & Barbara
