No child support = no money for house payment
I went through a divorce in 2003 and fell behind for a short time due to no child support. The mortgage company re-negotiated my payments from $1360 to $1600. I've been paying that for a little over a year. It then became a hardship again and fell behind, I believe in October 2007. I put the house up for sale in the middle of fixing up my house. I thought that I would be able to sell it, but due to the market, it sat. Consequently that put me in default and set it into foreclosure. The VA took my financial again and said that I didn't make enough to re-structure again. With the added fees in the last month, the total to bring it out of foreclosure is approx. $20,000. I've tried to take out an equity loan to pay it down to my original payment of $1360, but have had no luck.
