Chase will not communicate with me in writing

March 12, 2008

House is in CO, Chase has refused all attempts at contact unless on phone, which i will not do. Every thing i do with them has been in writing after a lesson learned. House is under a sale contract finally but chase is not cooperating. I have sent money and letters to them, but they put the money into a "HOLDING acct" and refuse to use it to help me pay the mortgage back payments.

I am having a similar problem. They are not communicating in writing and call me constantly every day but I will not answer phone.

They have me down as 2 months behind but I am current and have documentation proofing it.

Help!!! Here in Georgia, it only takes 3 months late payments then foreclosure.

when you right your letter, make sure you title it as a qualified written responce. most states require that a mortgage company must reply with in 30 days of receiving a qualified written responce. if you are current, make sure that you have copies of the checks and mail them along with the letter or fax the information. accounting errors can be very common.

I am still battling with them. Have managed to be in touch with 2 people on a regular basis, one of which I met in person. However, you are right, they do not respond in writing. But that is alright because I now have a 3rd party involved from a credit counseling bureau, so now I have proof of their nonresponses.

Thanks for your input Scott. They are still carrying me as 2 months behind.

its not 3 payments, it depends on your loan type 1st off. COmmunication with chase in writing, is like communicating with a tree in writing. Your best off calling. Seriously. Find out who your info that you are sending is being assigned to and get a fucking extension. They will give it to you. These companies don't care about you, jpmorgan helped fund the f'ing holocaus, i mean sht...Best of luck, and trust me, I know what Im talking about. Might be an insider.

I also am having problems w/Chase. I currently am in a Ch. 13. I have made all payments however I am having to make my payments towards the end of the month rather than the 1st.
Chase shows that we were 1 month behind and now will not take our payment for September because our case has been passed on to their lawyers. I have printed all my bank statements dating back to Dec. 6th along w/checks processed by telephone noting we have made our mortage payments. My attorney has faxed copies of these statements to Chase however it's difficult dealing w/my attorney as for they will not contact Chase to see if I can make my payment directly to Chase thru my attorney.
As of now I would have to mail my payment for Sept. but feel very uneasy doing so because of the chance of this payment also getting lost (even if I send it certified). If such confusion has happened w/me paying by telephone how can I possibly feel comfortable mailing my payment. I am so frustrated. If anyone has advice who I can speak w/directly to make my payment I'd definitely appreciate the assistance. Thanks.

That's I have printed my statesments along w/corresponding checks dating back to December 2006, not December 6th.

Hearing on Tuesday re: foreclosure. First 7 yrs. of loan no missed payments no late payments. Bankruptcy in '05, put in bankruptcy division at CHF. Called to ask why no due dates, late fee lines on new receipts. "We can't do that anymore - too much like harassment or badgering" Called again after Chase (division that had 2nd mortgage) agreed to change statements to let me know where I was on loan.
CHF again "we will never do that again, customers saying we were harassing them". So for last 3 years without info on loan. NEVER A LETTER OR PHONE CALL. Thought I was up to date but attorney sent full report on loan, I saw I was behind and sent check. We are up to date but face foreclosure Tuesday March 17th. Can they do this? No communication whatsoever and then lawsuit? Did Chase Home Finance benefit from bailout? Never received rules/guidelines for bankruptcy division after they placed us their. Found out while looking at report that we paid ahead two months during initial bankruptcy months. We missed a payment in 2006 but were paid ahead. One in 2007. June of 2008. But no monthly statement only receipt 4 days after they receive payment so I couldn't tell where I was. Why wouldn't they sent update?
Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone had any luck with completing a short sale, with Chase Home Finance, when current on payments? I actually read one horror story in which the seller was liable for the full loan balance. Does anyone have any information/experience with that?

Does anyone know if this sounds legit? I cannot keep up with my mtg. In Jan. I sent a hardship letter and have been waiting since then for a re-mod. They finally said that they need me to do a pre-mod first, at 38%, and then they will adjust it if approved to 31%, if I pay it all on time. Does that sound right to you? Can they still screw me?

We were only one month behind on our adjustable rate payment when I tried to get them to modify our loan and all they did was give me the run-around! I couldn’t believe it when the guy on the phone (he was a big jerk!) actually said that my family shouldn’t eat so much because then we would spend less on groceries and would have more money to make our mortgage payment! He also said we should get a cheaper car and a bunch of other stuff that was really rude. This whole thing was keeping me up at night worrying about what was going to happen to us. I told my friend at work about this and she said I should call the loan modification company that got her loan modified down to 3.25% fixed interest rate! I finally decided to call them, and in about 45 days they got my interest rate down to 3.85% on a fixed rate too! The company is American Foreclosure Specialists and we are really happy with what they did for us. The website is afscanhelp.com. We chose them because they didn’t make a bunch of promises like some of the other companies and they had a 100% money back guarantee. I hope this helps some other people fighting with their loan company!

I am hard of hearing and unable to understand what people say on the phone. My hearing loss is progressively getting worst and I can't seem to be able to get Chase Home Finance to speak to me in writing. I need to communicate via email. What to do?

I too have tried writing Chase as I do not hear well on the phone or understand their foreign people in the service dept. I am sending a video to the Chase CEO and also a copy to President Obama and am going to post it on youtube. It seems that is the only way I can be heard.

I applied for a loan modification back in August 09'. I worked with a representative for months and returned all the documentation they had requested. I called them every week to check the progress. Finally in October I was told the modification was approved for a lower payment and interest rate and was all to start December 09'. My paper work never arrived as promised over and over again and they were never able to take payments during this process, but just kept saying to set them aside and a supervisor would call me within 24 to 48 hours. I have NEVER been called back by anyone since the first of December. I have called every week or two and I am always told it's at the underwriters and keep setting payments aside and call back in 2 more weeks. I finally talked to a woman last week that seemed to be the most helpful person there I have ever talked to. I thought I finally had it all straightened out. She said it should be ready to start the trial mod any time now and to call back in two weeks. I called today 3/16/10, two weeks latter and they tell me I'm over $10,000 in delinquent payments and was only 60 days behind when i started. They said payments had never been stopped by them and that I was not in a loan modification or even in the process of one. They said ours had been denied weeks after the approval back on 1/9/10. We were never contacted or notified in the 30+ phone conversations from the approval call until today and even after talking with many departments over and over for months. They want me to apply again is all they say and that they are really sorry I was never contacted about being denied the mod. When I asked why I was lied to over and over about it still being at the underwriters and nothing about needing to do another modification app they said" Sorry, I guess they would only look at the front page of your account and never noticed it had been denied. Sorry about that." He told me. Nothing but a joke. I have a counselor from the HOPE government program now to help me figure it all out and to file complaints in all the correct departments before it's to late and I end up as another Chase foreclosure statistic.
