I can't sell, but I am being re-stationed
I am currently on active duty in the Navy stationed at Macdill AFB. I have been a homeowner since June 2006. I am currently under Permanent Change of Station orders to Little Creek, VA and will be detaching from my current assignment on 13 June 2008. I currently own a home that I cannot obtain refinancing on due to the current housing recession, I cannot rent at the rate desired due to the fact my BAH allowance in Virginia will not be able to support the mortgage and my own basic living expenses in Virginia, and I cannot sell my hone w/o resorting to a short sale due to the number of foreclosures, short sales and competition in my area. I have attempted to speak to several banks, including Navy FCU, USAA, Washington Mutual, and Wells Fargo (who is my lender) and they are all unwilling to refinance my home. I am currently able to make payments, but after June 2008, that situation will change. I will be TDY to a Navy school for two months in where I will not be receiving BAH, which will place me in a serious financial rut. I have spoken with Loss Mitigation at Wells Fargo and they gave me the options of short selling or (in their recommendation) a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure due to military transfer. I am in dire need of assistance and am running out of options. Please contact me at your soonest available opportunity.
