I want to get rid of this home even if I have to take a loss
My mortgage payments started out at $495.00 per month. Now it is 657.00 per month without including escrow for property insurance. I did fall behind because my father had a heart attack and was in the hospital for 4 months, I had two surgeries in less than three months and my son had hip replacements in January of 2007 and again in April of 2007. I was trying to keep myself afloat, help my mother and father with medicine and travel to and from the hospital. This was explained to Saxon. As soon as I caught up and was comfortable that I could stay current they upped the payments. It's about time that someone stop mortgage companies from preying on people.I am trying to sell the house because it is a huge house and all of my children are adults but it is still expensive to heat and expensive to cool. My electric bill soars in the winter and I am still not warm. I basically live in one room to keep the heating bill as low as possible. I looked at my loan statement and realized that only 34.00 was going toward the principal. The rest is going toward interest. Right now all I want to do is sell it, even if I take a loss .
