look at it like this. You go into fcl, thats on your credit for a while. File BK, thats on your credit for a while. a chapter 13 will indeed save your home as long as you can make trustee payments, a chapter 7 may stall it but eventually just cost you fees and end up being closed to foreclosure b/c the acct is behind. Try a chapter 13 if you can afford to make monthly payments. Its your best bet, other than one of there janky ass repayment plans or work out options. believe me, I kno what im talking about

My mortgage is being taken over by chase as of 1.1.09. It is listed for sheriffs sale 1.14.09. I want to keep my home, all citi finance had to do is lower my interest rate to something doable, not 11.75% then i could make my mortgage. my question is, will chase work with me, put my past payments at the end of my loan and help me keep my house? i have kids, a grandchild am a single mom, but have a good job. been there for 16 yrs, so that is safe so far?? I too have tried all sorts of venues to try to get help, isn't there anyone out there that wants to give a person a break and help keep their home?

Good Luck with getting sny help from Chase. Over a month ago Chase had all these articles on their website called "way foward" and they were about how they hired new staff, opened satellite locations and were planning to help over 200,000 families save their homes. It also stated, "there would be no more foreclosures with Chase for the next 2 years". Well, try and find that article now! It is no longer on their website, but I am luck enough to have a copy or I thought I was. Chase acts as though they have no idea what I am talking about.

Listen to this, yes Chase will help you, if after you pay all and I mean all your monthly bills and expenses from mortgage, auto, utilities, groceries, gas and extras like going to dinner or the movies and you still have a positive income, they will help you. NOW WHAT?? That is what I was told. Now why would I need help, if I still have money in my pocket. It is just some way for them to screw you. But if you are negitive each month, as I am, they tell you to spend less on groceries and carpool. Do they want me and my family to starve so we do not have to worry about a mortgage? I was told that even if I can only show $0.53 in my pocket, they will help me. Now where they get that figure I don't know. I have a 2 year old who is disabled, which is why I am now behind as we have struggled for the past 2 years. My son is declaired desabled by social security and they won't and I repeat WON'T help me.

Do not go into bankruptcy!!!!! Anyone looking for a Loan Modification seeking first reliable trustworthy specialist? We can get a rate lowered, payment lowered, forgive past lates and fees and even may reduce principal on mortgage. As long as the sheriff sale has not taken place I can help you save your home. If you have been on time or get behind I can get you a rate no higher than 5% and as low a 2%. Any situation that shows a hardship as well, can be done.

After 9 months of playing with the Chase loan mod program I tossed in the hat. I have never been late on anything in my life but knew I was headed for trouble. I lost my job (Company closed) of 15 years and my new job pays a fraction of what I used to make. I called Chase for help. I talked to (no lie) 10 different people in the same dept, all had a different answer - I have fedExed 100 or more copies of pay stubs, tax returns, Releases all to no avail. I'm going chapter 7. They dont care and really dont want to help. As for the person posting that they can help you - Remember "If it sounds to good to be true" it is!! I looked long and hard before I filed, but I'm going to need the little bit of savings I got to find a place to live. Look at your situation, its a tough move. Darin, if your not getting help from your lender, save your money. Sometimes bad things happen too good people. Save your money to move. File bankruptcy. And please dont fall for the "We can help you" scams that are out there. Hope to god this helps a little. Good luck to you and yours.
