I received a foreclosure judgment in the mail, what does that mean?
I was unemployed for 2 yrs due to medical I had got behind in my mortgage a couple of times during that period I always managed to obtain the money i needed to bring it current. I new in the beginning of 07 I was going to have some difficulty and i contacted my lender to try and work out some kind of deferment before i got behind they refused because i was current. In oct i got a full time job and would be able to make my payment just to bring it current i notified them about what my options are to save my home and we figured a loan modification because i wouldn't have to pay a lump sum of money to do this. I faxed all that they requested did every thing they wanted they stalled my for 90 days then notified me i need to pay 3000.00 down for atty fees etc.. before they would even submit to loan modification and that was not a guarantee i would be approved. I told them i would not borrow that money and send to them and still lose my house. I feel they stalled me purposely waiting out time they needed to seek further court action because the day they notified me about cash down i received court papers journal entry of judgment in the mail. I truly feel they had no intention of working with me. They jacked me around for 3mo giving me the intention i would be able to save my home. They were very unethical as far as my concerned now i'm not sure what to do. I asked how long do i have to be out and that the fight is over.
