My husband works in Suadi and our home is being foreclosed on in New Orleans
My husband works in Saudi. He was making very good money at first, working a lot of overtime. They cut his hours, then we had a claim filed against us in New Orleans. We were leasing a home there when Katrina hit. We lost almost everything. The landlord wanted his home because he had lost his home in Metairie. The day we went back to get what was left of our things, he was there ripping up carpet, tearing down blinds throwing our things out in the yard. We thought he was going to replace things to move in. Fema paid us for our loss, we later found out that he had taken pictures of the mess he made and tried to claim on fema also. When they refused, he sued us for damage to his property. He had the pictures as proof. We have witnesses that were with us that day. However, my husband was in Saudi and knew nothing of this suit until they garnished his wages for 75% of his salary. We have not been able to make or payments since. We should have this man paid off by summer, but we will lose our house in April. Please help us if you can.
