They are in India and we are in foreclosure, thanks Option One
We do not want to lose our home! When my father passed away last year...we had to pay all burial costs which made us fall behind on our bills..One month turned into two, etc..Throughout the entire process we had been sending payments to Option One but they were putting them into a holding account and didn't apply them until the entire amount was received and now it looks like we didn't pay for so long and so many fees have been attached. We have been in contact with Option one this entire time. We have already faxed in the complete loan modification package. We are waiting for a "negotiator" to contact us. We are extremely concerned because this lender is very difficult to communicate with as most of their employees are in India! Our house is in active foreclosure now, we have 3 small children..a head of the household (my husband) that is working as hard as he can to make the money we need (he is a firefighter..has been for 8 years) and it's still not enough. We need to obtain some sort of modification that will place the amount we own into the backside of this loan, extend the life our loan..bringing us to a manageable payment. We are hopeful that Option One's negotiator will come back to us with a plan that works for us..however..after reading lists and lists of complaints about them on Consumer Affairs we are so concerned and feel that we need to possibly outsource for some professional assistance such as yourselves. We don't have a lump sum payment to do a repayment plan..it would have to be a modification plan as I spoke of previously...we are good people..that don't deny we are responsible for the situation we are in..however we need a partner that is willing to work with us to maintain a long term future together. Please call us so that we may talk further about this and explore short sale options in case a modification does not work out...tax effects from all of this, etc.....Currently we are in the "wait" for a call mode...Like I said, all of the info they need for the modification is in their office...we have received notice that they have it all...and that someone will be getting back to us within 14 days...we just don't know if we can wait that long...we should probably have other options lined up or your company ready to fight for us if their proposition isn't something that will fit for us long term...
